HARVESTING THE UNLIMITED RICHES OF GOD’S GRACE

God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.  (Ephesians 2: 8 – 10)

By grace we are called, saved, strengthened, made stronger, justified, full of hope, heirs, victorious, rich, heavenly citizens, children of God, blessed beyond measure, and rulers. There are many more of such gifts God has in stock for all His children, not because of our efforts, ability, intelligent choice, or act of service on our part, but through God’s unmerited favour. For all these and many more, we need to respond to God with gratitude, praise and joy.

We are alive today, enjoy good health, live in good houses, our children are doing well, our businesses and various vocations/professions are prospering, we enjoy the good things of life, all because God, by His grace, has made them possible. We must also remember that not so many have all these blessings as we have. Some who were with us about this time last year have passed on; while some are facing some challenges beyond their understanding.

The aforementioned therefore, affords us reasons to appreciate God’s mercies, favour and grace upon us and our families in this Year’s Women’s Harvest. We must bring before God worthy offerings that would move Him to accept us and our offerings, and also bless us beyond our imagination as He did in the cases of Abel and Noah (Gen. 4:5; 8: 20 -22).

However, beyond this harvest let us remember that there is another harvest awaiting all: both the dead and the living, the final harvest whereby God, the owner of all will come to reap the world as in harvest, some to eternity with Christ and some to condemnation with the devil.

Don’t be misled – you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit (Gal. 6: 7 -8).

Remember Jesus Christ, God’s indescribable gift, to all who believe in Him, full of grace and truth. Give your life and all to Him and I can assure you that He will give you much more in return.

May God Almighty, the God of harvest, bless you, grant you increase and keep you rapturable.

Wishing you a Spirit-filled week.
