GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

1. We welcome all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service as we commemorate the triumphal entry of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ into Jerusalem. We pray that we shall all triumph over all our enemies, circumstances and challenges.
2. Holy/Passion Week: commences today and by God’s grace, we shall assemble in the church at 6.00 p.m from tomorrow to Wednesday for prayer services while we shall commemorate the institution of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Eucharist) on Thursday at 6.00 p.m. On Friday, we shall have two services.  The first Service will be at 9.00 a.m. while the 3-hour service will start at 12noon and we shall examine the seven churches in Revelation chapters two and three.  Please key into all these programmes and attend punctually.
3. EASTER SUNDAY: Next Sunday is Easter Sunday and we shall celebrate our victory over Satan, Sin, and the world through the glorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We shall be having two services just like today.  7.00 a.m. Holy Communion and combined Holy Communion Service at 9.00 a.m.  There will be thanksgiving as well at both services.  It is good to be grateful.
4. 1. We welcome the Ven. Tunde and Mrs. Kikelomo Oduwole and their children into Our Saviour’s Church, TBS as one of the Curates and pray that God will make them a great asset to add value to the church and bless them and enlarge their coast as they serve here.
   2. We welcome all our eminent guests (first timers) very specially and pray that God will orchestrate unusual testimonies in their lives and families in Jesus name. We appeal to them to fill the form given to them and to also wait briefly to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM” after this service. They are also enjoined to each take a copy of our bulletin for reference.
5. Congratulatory felicitations to all the birthday celebrants of the week.  We wish them all longevity, robust health, sustained joy, divine peace and accomplishment in Jesus name.N
6. MID-DAY PRAYERS DURING LENTEN SEASON: The mid-day prayers still continues from 12 noon – 1 p.m (Mondays to Fridays) in our church throughout this Lenten period.  Please pray for the grace to be there.  There will always be a clergyman to lead us.duze
7. PRAYER REQUEST: Members are implored to send prayer requests to the church during our spiritual programmes and activities both on Sundays and weekdays. You do not have to include your names/identities. These prayer requests must reach the Vicar at least two (2) hours before the start of such services.
8. MEMBERSHIP DATA:- We appeal to all our parishioners to fill and return the membership data form being provided at this service.  We need to update the data base so as to serve you better.  We wish to start sending daily devotionals, information and other spiritual materials.

12. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: is a minimum of N1,000.00.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish.

THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generousity and personal sacrifice.  Your labour of love will not be in vain.  We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist  in donating them

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE:

1. SUPPORT FOR CLERGY STIPENDS IN SELECT DIOCESE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA:  At the just concluded Standing Committee meeting of  the Church of Nigeria   (Anglican Communion), it was decided that parishes and individual (so touched) should please support some of the weak dioceses in the payment of their clergy stipends.  Kindly   extend  your  hands of fellowship through your generous donations or link up with the Vicar for   further information.  May God bless you as you do so.  
2. Maundy Thursday Service at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina – Lagos at 10.00 a.m. Parishioners who wish to have items such as oil and water blessed by our Diocesan should please bring such items (properly labelled) to the Admin. Office on or before Wednesday evening.

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

3. IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY WOMEN OF GRACE RETREAT: Date: Saturday, 15th April, 2017 at St. John’s Church, Falomo, Topic: ‘Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil’ (Psalm 23: 4). Speaker: Mrs. Chinyere Uhie. Time: 10.00am.
4. DIOCESAN GIRLS & LADIES GUILD’S EASTER PICNIC: Comes up on Monday, March 17, 2017 at Faith Plaza, Bariga at 11.00a.m.
5. PARISH WOMEN’S ANNIVERSARY WEEK: All women should please, note that this year’s Women’s Anniversary week would commence from Sunday, 30th April, 2017 with a 3-Day Revival (Monday – Wednesday) and Anniversary Thanksgiving on Sunday, 7th May, 2017 at both services.

8. REGISTRATION FOR 2017 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:– Members willing to enroll into Mothers’ Union for the year 2017 should please put down their names and telephone nos. with the Vicar’s wife (Mrs. F. Oyediran) or with the Admin. Manager today or within the week.
9. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established  to  assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.
10. PARISH CHARITY DAY: The Charity Day for the needy within our environment comes up very soon. We appeal for donations in cash and kind. Items needed include: Food stuff (Rice, beans, yam, noodles, vegetable oil, provisions etc); new and fairly used clothings, kitchen utensils etc. These items should be deposited with the Vicar’s wife, any of the Curates’ wives or at the Church Administrative Office.  May God bless you as you do so. 1. HOLY WEEK SERVICES: Holy week services will run daily from tomorrrow:

   • Thursday, 13th April, 2017 (Maundy Thursday) commemoration of the Institution of Holy Communio.  Holy Communion  at 6.00 p.m.
   • Friday, 14th April,  2017  (GOOD FRIDAY) –  Service at 9.00 a.m.  Three  Hour Meditation –  12 Noon to 3.30 p.m.

2. REQUEST FOR UNLEAVENED BREAD & COMMUNION WINE FOR MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE: We appeal for the donation of unleavened Bread and communion wine(s) to be used during the Maundy Thursday Service. Please note that you can pay for a carton of Communion Wine or more at the rate of N5,500.00 in the church. May God bless you all as you respond to our call.
3. BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR VALUABLES: Members and visitors are henceforth advised to be conscious  and take care of their  valuables such as bags, telephone handsets, money etc. in the church and outside the church premises because of the bad elements that mingle amongst us.
4. HOSPITAL VISITING MINISTRY/CHURCH CLINIC ANNUAL EASTER CAKE SALES: The annual delicious Easter Cakes being provided by members of the Hospital Visiting Ministry/Church Clinic to raise funds for  the purchase of drugs and other equipment will come up next Sunday, 16th April, 2017 (Easter Sunday).  Please note and patronize or book for some in advance through any member of the Ministry.
5. VISIT BY HVM/CHURCH CLINIC MEMBERS TO ONIKAN HEALTH CENTRE: Date: Today, 9th April, 2017 Time: 12 Noon. Members of the ministry & intending members are welcomed.
6. ELDERS’ FELLOWSHIP OF OUR SAVIOUR’S CHURCH, TBS: There will be a meeting of the Elders’ Fellowship of Our Saviour’s Church on Wednesday, 12th April, 2017 at 10.00am in the Chapel Extension. All elders of   65years and above are cordially invited to come and fellowhsip with us.
7. THE LITERATURE AND PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE: Requests the submission of entries for the June 2017 edition of The Good Tidings Magazine. The entries may be in the form of articles, jokes, riddles, cartoons etc, that would be of benefit to reader.    Please send soft copies of your entries to goodtidings@osc-tabs.or. if desired, authors may send in their photographs along with their entries. Please note the committee will review the enties and where contextual amendments are to be made, the committee will contact the author for approval.

       2. Sir Okey and Lady Nkoli Moka on the call to glory of their mother and mother-in-law respectively –  Nneokwukwe Madam Rhoda Moka.  Aged:  92 years.  Burial on  the 26th May, 2017 at Ichida, Anambra State.

       1. Mr. Victor C. Odunze (former active member of The Bible Study Group of Our  Saviour’s Church and immediate elder brother of Mrs. D.C. Amadi and brother-in- law to Mr. G.J. VACANCY: The church is in need of a competent and experienced  organist to serve as   an “Assistant Organist” in this church.  Interested and qualify candidates should send in application with C.V. to the Vicar not later than 23rd April, 2017.  Ability to train the choir  would be added advantage.
