GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. All glory, honour and praises to God for His faithfulness and goodness that have hitherto preserved all of us. We welcome all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service. God will surround all of us with His presence and favour, and also steadily and with Divine speed fulfill His purposes in our lives and families in Jesus name.
    2. We welcome all our eminent guests (first timers) very specially and pray that God will orchestrate unusual testimonies in their lives and families in Jesus name. We appeal to them to fill the form given to them and to also wait briefly to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM” after this service. They are also enjoined to each take a copy of our bulletin for reference.
    3. Congratulatory felicitations to all the birthday celebrants of the week. We also congratulate all those who are having their wedding anniversaries this week. We wish them all longevity, robust health,  sustained joy, divine peace and accomplishment in Jesus name.
  2. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: Please note that our annual membership due is now minimum of N2,000= for each member.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish, and pay our   dues promptly.
  1. ECCLESIASTES 5: 4-6: when you make a vow  to God, do not delay fulfilling it; for he has no  pleasure in fools.  Fulfil what you vow.  It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not fulfil it.  Do not let your mouth lead you into sin, and do not say before the messenger that it    was a mistake; why should God be angry at your  words, and destroy the work of your hands?

  1. FAMILY HARVEST/THANKSGIVING: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication. As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy. Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvest. Kindly liaise with the Admin’s Office or any of the Year 2017 Harvest Committee members for details.
  2. DRESSING OF BRIDES AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BRIDAL TRAIN DURING WEDDING SERVICES:        We use this medium to appeal to all parents and guardians whose children (daughters or daughters-in-law) will be getting married to teach them the dignity of decent dressing, especially during wedding services. By decent dressing, we mean that the wedding gowns and other wedding dresses should cover the entire body. Any indecent dressings during such occasions will be frowned at and the clergy will not take kindly to it. This is a very important notice that must be taken seriously by all our parishioners and other worshippers because we will not compromise the Word of God for any reason.

 

INFORMATION FROM THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA:

  1. SUPPORT FOR CLERGY STIPENDS IN SELECTED DIOCESES OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA:  We sincerely appreciate our parishioners who have responded positively to the Primate’s passionate appeal concerning the payment of clergy in a number of our dioceses across the nation. God will continue to increase them in all good things and also on all sides. We still appeal to many others who are in positions to do so to kindly emulate them.  Please let us assist in alleviating the problems of these clergymen and their dependants.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS:

  1. 2017 LAGOS PROVINCIAL WOMEN’S ANNUAL ESSAY COMPETITION FOR YOUTHS:  Theme: “No Cross, No Crown”. Levels: Pry. 6; JSS 3. Interested candidates should get in touch with the Vicar’s wife for details.
  2. MARY SUMNER’S DAY: The annual Mary Sumner’s Day for this year comes up on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 4.00 p.m. in the Chapel. Dress code: WHITE & BLUE. All women should please attend so as to celebrate womanhood.
  3. WOMEN OF GRACE MEETING: Date: August 6, 2017 Topic: Strength in Quietness Text: Phil. 1: 28. Speaker: Mrs. Chinwe Daras. Immediately after the 8 a.m. Service. May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  4. MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT: – Enrolment for 2017 has started, please liaise with Mrs. Emamoke Dare for details.
  5. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

  1. BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR VALUABLES: Members and visitors are henceforth advised to be conscious  and take care of their valuables such as bags, telephone handsets, money etc. in the church and outside the church premises because of the bad elements that mingle amongst us.
  2. ELDERS FELLOWSHIP OF OUR SAVIOUR’S CHURCH, TBS, LAGOS: The next meeting of the Elders Fellowship of Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos will take place on Wednesday, 9th August, 2017 at 10.00am prompt in the Chapel Extension.  All elders of 65 years and above are cordially invited.  We welcome new members.
  3. BUSINESS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: Date: Monday 7th August 2017.  Time:  6-8pm, Venue: Chapel.  Topic: Miracle of   water into wine. Text: John 2:1-10. Speaker:  Mr Onu Onyenze.     New members are welcome.  Please, come and apply scriptures into your business.
  4. BUSINESS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: The 18th Anniversary of the business Fellowship of Our Saviour’s Church, TBS comes up on Saturday, 28th October, 2017 at the church hall at 9.00am to 6.00pm. Lined up actvities are  1. Music Minsitration    2. Word of Exhortation 3. Prophetic Declaration    4. Business Talk  5. Exhibition/Market Fair 6. Launching of Bsuiness Brochure/Directory   7. Health check on eyes, blood sugar and pressure. For advertisement, exhibition and directory rates, please contact the church admin. secretary or our whatsApp no 08092321363/08023011943.  The directory rate for our youth through the Youth President is free.
  5. ILLEGAL PARKING ON GOVERNMENT ROAD: The Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts observed the illegal parking of vehicles within our environment, and advised that members should please, utilize the TBS parking lots being paid for, every Sunday.
  6. DONATIONS TO CHURCH MADE EASY: To facilitate paying our Tithes, Offerings and other donations, the following have been put in place:

  1. FOOD BANK: The Food Bank is the Project of the Youth Ministry of this Church. This enables us to cater for the needy in the Church. The Bank opens every first Sunday at the Church Hall immediately after the Youth Service. We thank all our donors and ask more people to be part of this project.
