GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. We welcome all our members and other worshippers at this service.  We appeal that we remember to pray for our dear nation for Divine Intervention at this difficult time.  Please take a copy of our weekly bulletin for reference.
    2. We also welcome all our guests who are fellowshipping for the first time.  Please fill the form given to you and wait briefly after the service to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM’ as you exit through the door on the lectern side of the church.
    3. We congratulate all Birthday celebrants of the week and pray for longevity, robust health and prosperity for all of them.
    4. We also congratulate all the families that are featured in our bulletin to be prayed for as from next week.  They can use the opportunity to do their Family Harvest.  See the Administrative Manager for Harvest Envelopes.  God will continue to protect and bless them all in Jesus name. The following families would be prayed for next week:  Abaras, Abiakweli, Abiola-Cudjoe, Abolade, Abolaji, Abumere, Achebe, Achusi, Adamolekun, Adebayo, Adebiyi, Adeboyejo, Adedeji, Adediji,  Adefisan, Adegoke, Adegoroye, Adekayode, Adekore, Ademola/Ademola-Waller, Adeniji, Adenubi, Adenuga, Adepoju, Adesola & Adesugba.
  1. OUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: We appeal to all parishioners and other worshippers to please attend any or all of them and God will bless you all beyond your expectations:

      (i)   Daily Holy Communion @ 7.15 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays

      (ii)   Hour of Divine Intervention on Wednesdays @ 6.00 p.m to 7.30 p.m.

      (iii)  Bible Study on Fridays @ 3.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. & 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.

      (iv)  Overcomer’s Hour –  First Day of the month @ 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.

      (v)  Glorious Night –  Last Fridays of the month @ 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.

      (vi)  Workers’ Retreat –  as the Vicar deems appropriate.

  1. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: is a minimum of N1,000.00.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish.
  2. FAMILY HARVEST: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication.  As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy.  Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvests.  Kindly complete the enclosed form and return to members of the Guild of Stewards or the Admin’s Office, so as to prepare the roster without much delay.
  3. THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generosity and personal sacrifice.  Your labour of love will not be in vain.  We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist  in donating them
  • Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)
  • Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.
  • Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)
  • Copies of Hymn Books

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:- Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  2. CLASSES FOR 2016 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2016 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension. Members should please be punctual.
  3. MOTHERS’ UNION HOUSE FELLOWSHIP ZONES AND CO-ORDINATORS:

  1. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/HEALTH TALK: Date: Wednesday, 31st August, 2016 – Visit to less privileged/Home.  Time: 4.00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  2. IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY MONTHLY PRAYER MEETING will hold on Friday, 2nd September, 2016 at Our Saviour’s Church, TBS at 5.00 p.m. The topic: ‘Marked with God’s seal (Eph. 1: 13-14)’
  3. COLLECTION OF SACRIFICE CARDS: Please be informed that the collection of sacrifice cards will be done at the main entrance of the church after the withdrawal hymn.  Members should please note and comply.
  4. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

 

OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

  1. 2016 CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE’S HARVEST:- Please note that 2016 Children & Young People’s ‘Harvest will hold on Sunday, 11th September, 2016 during our Joint Service at 9.00 a.m. to be followed by Love Feast at TBS Cricket Pitch. Please pray for the success of the harvest.
  2. CONFIRMATION CLASS: Our Confirmation Service will be holding by God’s grace on 16th October, 2016 at 9.00 a.m. All who are being prepared to be confirmed should be very committed to what they are being taught.  Classed hold every Sunday after the second service.
  3.   4. “The Literature and Publications Committee requests the submission of entries for the December 2016 edition of Good Tidings. The entries may be in form of articles, jokes, riddles, cartoons, etc., that would be of benefit to readers. Please send soft copies of your entries to goodtidings@osc-tbs.org. If desired, authors may send in their photographs along with their entries.”

APPRECIATION FROM YOUTH COMMITTEE: The chairperson and entire membership of the Youth Committee give all the glory to God for the just concluded, and successful 2016 Children and Youth Summer Workshop Programme. We also heartily appreciate our quintessential Vicar, the PCC, the church clinic staff, security men and all church staff for their immense support. We could not have done it without contributions from our generous donors. God bless and replenish you abundantly. A big ‘Thank you’ also to our facilitators both within and outside this congregation. We are indeed most grateful. Lastly, we appreciate our parents, who released their children for the programme. May God richly bless you all.
