GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

1. Glory be to God who in His infinite mercy and grace preserved us throughout last year and has brought us to the beginning of a new year.  We congratulate all our parishioners and other worshippers for the rare privilege of this brand new year.  Happy New Year to us all.  The Lord will shield and guide us to the end of it in Jesus name.  We shall not experience any loss in our lives and families in Jesus name.  God will add to us and fulfill His purpose in our lives and families in Jesus name.
2. We welcome all the first timers and appreciate them for identifying with us at this service.  Please fill the form given to you and wait to interact with the ‘WELCOME TEAM’ very briefly after the service.  Take the exit on the Lectern side of the church and sit on any of the pews, and they will be with you shortly.
3. We congratulate all those who celebrate birthdays this week and rejoice with them.  We wish them longevity, robust health, divine favour and accomplishments.

6. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: is a minimum of N1,000.00.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish.
7. OUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: We appeal to all parishioners and other worshippers to please attend any or all of them and God will bless you all beyond your expectations:

(i)   Daily Holy Communion @ 7.15 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays

(ii)   Hour of Divine Intervention on Wednesdays @ 6.00 p.m to 7.30 p.m.

(iii)  Bible Study on Fridays @ 3.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. & 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.

(iv)  Overcomer’s Hour –  First Day of the month @ 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.

(v)  Glorious Night –  Last Fridays of the month @ 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.

(vi)  Workers’ Retreat –  as the Vicar deems appropriate.

8. THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generousity and personal sacrifice.  Your labour of love will not be in vain.  We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist  in donating them

(i)         Wafer bread (priest wafers & for the congregation)

(ii)         Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)

(iii)        Imported sets of chassubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.

(iv)        Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)

(v)        Copies of Hymn Books

 

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE:

 POWER FOR THE YEAR 2017:-  His Grace, our Bishop and Dean Emeritus, The Most Revd Dr Ephraim Adebola Ademowo, OON, FNAL,  invites you all to the POWER FOR THE YEAR 2017 as follows:  Date:  Saturday, 7th January, 2017   Venue:  Faith Plaza, Bariga, Lagos.  Time:  8.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.   Theme:  ‘DIVINE ENLARGEMENT” (I Chronicles 4: 10; Isaiah 54: 1-5).  Bus will depart at 7.30 a.m.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

1. LAUNCHING INTO THE DEEP:- The annual launching into the deep by members of the Women’s & Girls’ Organisations will hold from Monday, 2nd January to Wednesday, 4th January, 2017 at the Chapel by 5 p.m. daily.  It is going to be with fasting and prayers. All women should note and attend.
2. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:- Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
3. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND:  Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.
4. MOTHERS’ UNION HOUSE FELLOWSHIP ZONES AND CO-ORDINATORS            

Please note that the Fellowship comes up every 3rd Saturday  of the month.  Kindly contact your nearest Coordinator for further enquiries.  Thanks.

 

OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

1. OUR THEME FOR YEAR 2017 IS ‘Manifesting the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.”- John 15:5: All our Sermons, Teachings, Retreats, Revivals, etc will be in connection with this theme by God’s grace.  We appeal that we should be part of it and actively participate throughout.  We pray that God will walk among us to do great things in Jesus name.
2. APPRECIATION: The Marriage Counselling Ministry hereby expresses its profound appreciation for the amazing support of our Vicar, Ven. Julius Oyetunde Oyediran and his wife, the Curates and their wives, and the entire parishioners on its annual anniversary thanksgiving on Christmas Day.  The Ministry also regrets and apologises for the unintentional omission of the following members’ names in the Church Bulletin (1)  Barr (Mrs) Ogugua Ohen; (2)  Mrs. Shola Awokoya.  We thank the Almighty God for a spirit-filled and successful outing.

4. BIBLE STUDY SESSION now on vacation. We will announce resumption  date.
5. SUNDAY SCHOOL:– The Sunday School resumes next Sunday, 8th January, 2017.  Parents should please note.

REQUEST FOR SCRIPTURE READERS FOR YEAR 2017: Members interested in reading the Old Testament at 0800,1100 and 1800hrs on Sundays should please put down their names in the administrative office today and within the week.  Kindly indicate your name and telephone numbers, and also a specific date (if any), so as to enable us prepare the roster. Those who would like to read  to mark their birthdays are especially welcome.  Note that the Epistles are usually read by the Readers.
7. “The Literature and Publications Committee: Please note that the December Edition of our Good Tidings Magazine is now out for sale at the main entrances of the church.  Kindly patronize us and you will be richly blessed.
