- GREETINGS & FELICITATIONS: Glory be to God who in His infinite mercy and grace preserved us throughout last year and has brought us to the beginning of a new year. We congratulate all our parishioners and other worshippers for the rare privilege of this brand new year. The Lord will shield and guide us to the end of it in Jesus name. We shall not experience any loss in our lives and families in Jesus name. God will add to us and fulfill His purpose in our lives and families in Jesus name.
- Expression of gratitude for christmas & new year gifts to the clergy (ancient & modern) and other worksers in the church:- We sincerely register our profound gratitude to all our parishioners and others who extended hands of love and fellowship in cash and kind to all of us during the last festive season. God will replenish them all and help will not be far from them.
- We welcome all our eminent guests: All those who are worshipping here for the first time, please complete the form given to you and hand it over to any member of the WELCOME TEAM who will meet with you at the CHOIR OFFICE POINT immediately after the service. - OUR THEME FOR YEAR 2016 IS ‘DEAD TO SELF AND ALIVE IN CHRIST’ (Galatians 2: 20): All our Sermons, Teachings, Retreats, Revivals, etc will be in connection with this theme by God’s grace. We appeal that we should be part of it and actively participate throughout. We pray that God will walk among us to do great things in Jesus name.
- INDUCTION & INSTITUTION OF VEN. & MRS JULIUS OYETUNDE OYEDIRAN: Please be informed that the Diocesan, The Most Revd Dr. Ephraim Adebola Ademowo has fixed for next Sunday, 17th January, 2016 at 4 p.m., for the Induction & Institution as Vicar of Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos and Archdeacon of Ikoyi for Ven. & Mrs. Julius Oyetunde Oyediran. Ven. Julius Oyetunde Oyediran would equally give thanks unto God for his 50th Birthday on the day. You are all welcome.
- DAILY HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE: – Join us at the 7.15 a.m. service in the Chapel every day of this week.
- WOMEN’S DATA FORM:- All women in the church are please implored to collect a form designed to update their records with the Women’s & Girls’ Organizations. Kindly collect from the Guild of Stewards, complete and return as specified. Thank you and God bless.
- MISSION SEED ENVELOPES: You are invited to help empower His Grace, our Diocesan Bishop to help needy parishes and the mission fields in the diocese, within and outside the country by contributing at least One thousand Naira monthly towards the Mission Seed Project. Mission Seed would be collected every Sunday. Please collect and use a set of envelopes to help you pay regularly and God will bless you abundantly.
- EMERGENCY PCC MEETING:- An emergency PCC meeting will hold by God’s grace in the Church Hall on Tuesday, 12th January, 2016 at 5.00 p.m. All PCC members are enjoined to please attend punctually.
- NEW COMERS’ NIGHT:
- On Sunday, the 24th January, 2016 at 5.00 p.m. we shall formally welcome our new members who joined us in the year 2015. Kindly come with your friends and loved ones to fellowship with our new members and get to know more about the Ministries/Fellowships of the church.
- Chairmen & Secretaries of Ministries/Fellowships are cordially invited to come and “sell” their respective Ministries/Fellowships to the new comers in the year 2015.
- Those that joined this church in the year 2015 are specially invited to fellowship with our Vicar, the Curates, their wives, representatives of various Ministries/Fellowships of the church, and in particular, to know more about the church and its activities.
- PARISH ELDERS’ FELLOWSHIP MEETING:- The first meeting of Parish Elders’ Fellowship for the year will hold on Wednesday, 13th January, 2016 at 10 a.m. prompt in the Chapel Extension. Our Vicar, Ven. J. O. Oyediran will address the Fellowship. There will also be a group photographs. Please come in our latest Uniform. We look forward to welcoming many more elders who are 65 years old and above to the meeting.
- WOMEN’S GUILD REDEDICATION/THANKSGIVING:– Date: Next Sunday, 17th January, 2016 at both services. All women are enjoined to buy the Women’s Organisations Year 2016 Hand Book from the clergywives today or within the week. Please note that this handbook will be used for all the Rededication Services.
- MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:– Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
- FOOD BANK: The Youth Ministry has started a Food Bank in the church. This service seeks to provide raw food stuffs and beverages for members who have nothing to eat. The distribution of food items to concerned parties is only done on first Sundays of any month. Kindly note that this is a covenant arrangement, only those in need should visit the place. Please, also feel free to join us to bring smile to faces that are stranded by providing for them through this medium. - VACANCIES: 1) Sound systems engineer/manager; 2) sound systems engineers assistant x 2 The church has just invested in digital sound equipment for the main church, chapel and church hall. The equipment requires that it’s operators be well schooled in the principles of sound processing, mixing and recording. A more than passing knowledge of acoustics of buildings and sound spectrum management will be an advantage. Services are conducted almost daily in the main church and at least once a week in the chapel. The hall is rented out on a commercial basis and it is anticipated that now, the option of using the Church’s own public address systems for speech and bands will be offered to clients. To this end, 3 personnel will be required with one of them being in charge of the other two. Serious enquirers/ applications should be sent to Mr. Michael Ipadeola of Our Saviours Church TBS LAGOS. Applications must include a resume, summary of knowledge and experience and indications of availability.
