Notices for July 12, 2015

  1. WELCOME- We heartily welcome you all who are worshipping God along with us today for the first time and pray that His love would be  extended to you and members of your families. Kindly complete the form given to you and hand it over to the members of the church’s WELCOME TEAM who will meet with you at the CHOIR OFFICE point immediately after the service. Kindly join them through the Exit by the Lectern side of the church.
  2. DAILY HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE: – Please join us at 7.15 a.m. each day in the Chapel. God bless you.
  3. CLERGY WELFARE WEEK: –   We thank all who have been supporting the Clergy and are seeing to their welfare.  The Clergy Welfare Week ends today, the 12th July, 2015.  The Lord has promised special blessings for those who support His ministers.  You could support with cash/cheques (payable to Lagos Anglican Diocesan Workers’ Fund.  An offering will be taken at today’s services. The Lord will reward you and all your children in their several generations.
  4. YEAR 2015 PROFESSIONALS’ HARVEST: We appreciate our Coordinators of this year’s Professionals’ Harvest  – Chief (Sir) Olu Okeowo  & Lady Adejoke Okeowo, together with their family, all their guests (both present and those that had supported earlier), and members of the various professional groups, and other members of the congregation. We pray that God would continue to shower His blessings on you all.
  5. 2015 SEA SUNDAY: – The 2015 Sea Sunday takes place today, 12th July, 2015. A collection will be taken next Sunday for their support.
  6. VICAR’S VACATION: The Vicar and Mama Yard will commence their 2015 vacation this week.  Please pray for them as they take some rest.  While they are on vacation, The Revd Canon and Mrs. Clement Iwuoha will take charge.  Please support them as God uses them to bless the church.
  7. CONFIRMATION CLASSES FOR YEAR 2015: All children aged 13 years and older, and all adults who have not been confirmed are to register with the Admin. Manager.  Classes will start immediately after today’s service. Confirmation Service will take place on Sunday, 18th October, 2015 at 9 a.m.
  8. THE MATTHEW 25: 35 FUND: – Please be reminded of the call on 15th March, 2015 (Mothering Sunday) for 100 members to volunteer to support the needy in this parish with N100,000.00 each. We appreciate those who have responded.  Please be a blessing to those in need and the Lord will smile on you.  Please write your cheque in the name of ‘Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos’ & endorse at the back “Matt. 25: 35 Fund” Thank you.
  9. MISSION SEED ENVELOPES: You are invited to help empower His Grace, our Diocesan Bishop to help needy parishes and the mission fields in the diocese, within and outside the country by contributing at least One thousand Naira monthly towards the Mission Seed Project.  Mission Seed is collected on every first Sunday of the month, but you could also pay during the week.  Please collect and use a set of envelopes to help you pay regularly and God will bless you abundantly.
  10. TITHE ENVELOPES: God has asked you to obey Him by bringing in the FULL tithes into His storehouse and put Him to test if He will not rain blessings on you. To help you do this, the church has provided envelopes for regular tithing. Please collect yours from the Guild of Stewards. The Lord will bless you with His ABUNDANCE as you obey Him.  Tithes will be collected next Sunday, and on every third Sunday of the month.  Please note that you can continue to pay your tithe at any other time of the week or make a direct transfer to the Church’s Bank account.
  11. OSEEC INCOME GENERATION ENTREPRENEUR WORKSHOP: – Keep a date with The Economic Empowerment Committee on Saturday 18th July 2015. Register now for the Income Generation Entrepreneur Workshop with the Church Admin Office. Contact the Committee Secretary 08023163758 Or Admin.   12. MEN’S CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP MEETING: – An exciting meeting of members of the Men’s Christian Fellowship comes up on Saturday, 18th July, 2015 in the Chapel at 9 a.m. All members should endeavour to attend.
  13. DEDICATION OF CHURCH COUNSELLING ROOM: – The Dedication of Church Counselling room would take place today immediately after the service. Members are all welcome.
  14. COMMUNITY HYMNS SINGING FOR JULY BABES: Our monthly Community Hymns Singing to be sponsored by July Babes will hold next Sunday, 19th July, 2015 at 6.00 p.m.  Members celebrating their birthdays and events in the month of July and willing to sponsor any hymn should please liaise with either Revd Canon Akpoghene Okoro or Mr. Michael Ipadeola, today or latest on Wednesday, 15th July, 2015
  15. EDUCATION COMMITTEE: – Applications are invited from members/members’ children for consideration for scholarship for tertiary Education at any Public Institution in Nigeria.  Applicants must have admission and the necessary qualifications.   For enquiries call:  08033257929.
  1. 2015 O.S.C. CHILDREN AND YOUTH SUMMER WORKSHOP IS HERE AGAIN: Our 2- week Children and Youth Summer Workshop 2015 holds between 27/07/15 -07/08/2015. The Youth Committee has packaged yet another interesting time for the benefit of our children. Core skills on offer include MUSIC, CRAFT, PHOTOGRAPHY AND ICT.

Other attractions!  TERRA CULTURE AND MAD SCIENCE CLUB.  Also, excursion to OLUMO ROCK are few of special features on this year’s programme. General Counselling topics will be offered and games are available plus free lunch daily. Registration Forms available at the Administration office at N2.500.00.  The excursion attracts an additional fee of N1, 500.00. Register your children and wards today.  Limited spaces available.

  1. BUSINESS FELLOWSHIP’S 2015 MARKET FAIR, EXHIBITION AND BUSINESS DIRECTORY: – The Business Fellowship invites members of the church to showcase their products/services at its 2015 Market Fair. Exhibition and launching of Business Directory would hold on Saturday 24th October 2015 between 9am and 6pm at the Church Hall to mark her 16th Anniversary with business talk on raising funds for SMES.

  6. CLASSES FOR MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2015 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension.  Members should please be punctual.
