GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. We are excited and very happy to have all our parishioners at this service.  We pray that God will pour His blessings and Spirit upon you immeasurably now and always.  He will make a way for each of you even where there seems to be no way.  You will continue to be kept under the shadow of His wings in Jesus name.
    2. We welcome all our eminent guests with overwhelming joy and profound gratitude.  We appeal to them to kindly wait to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM” after the service.  They should please take the exit on the Lectern side and also fill the “First Timers’ Form” and return it to the ‘WELCOME TEAM’.  Please study our weekly Bulletin and attend our programmes and activities as enshrined therein.  God bless you richly.
    3. We congratulate our members on the occasion of this year’s Professionals’ Harvest. We pray that you will tower in your various endeavours. We welcome and appreciate our Main Coordinators of this year’s Professionals’ Harvest  – Dr. Peter & Mrs. Helen Nmadu, the Leaders and Coordinators of various professional groups, together with their families and supporters, other invited guests, and members of the congregation. We pray that God would continue to shower His blessings on you all as you donate generously towards today’s harvest.
    4. We congratulate all BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS of this week and felicitate with them.  God Almighty will equip and anoint them to live long in sound health, renewed strength and peace, and they will all fulfil their divine mandate in Jesus name.  Happy Birthday.  Hurray and cheers!
  1. OUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: We are continuing with all these with renewed enthusiasm and passion after the celebration of Easter.  We appeal to all our parishioners and other worshippers to show more interest and attend punctually.  They are for our spiritual edification and total well-being.  They are as follows:
    1. Daily Holy Communion @ 7.15 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays
    2. Hour of Divine Intervention on Wednesdays @ 6.00 p.m to 7.30 p.m.
    3. Bible Study on Fridays @ 3.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. & 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
    4. Overcomer’s Hour –  First Day of the month @ 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.
    5. Glorious Night –  Last Fridays of the month @ 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.
    6. Workers’ Retreat –  as the Vicar deems appropriate.
  2. 2016 O.S.C. CHILDREN AND YOUTH SUMMER WORKSHOP IS HERE AGAIN! Our 2-week Children and Youth Summer Workshop commence tomorrow Monday, 25/07 through Friday, 05/08/2016. The Youth Committee has packaged yet another interesting time for the benefit of our children , youths, and young adults. Core skills on offer include MUSIC, CRAFT, PHOTOGRAPHY, ICT Excursion trip, MAD SCIENCE are few special highlights. Also featuring are personalities such as ICE – MAN and “IK“ ( The Voice) on this year’s programme.     There is a special session prepared for young adults.  Don’t be left out !!!!.    Lunch, Games and General Counselling topics will be offered.

  1. FAMILY HARVEST OF SENATOR SEGUN & MRS YINKA BAMIGBETAN BAJU NEXT SUNDAY DURING THE COMBINED SERVICE AT 9 A.M.
  2. FAMILY HARVEST: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication.  As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy.  Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvests.  Kindly complete the enclosed form and return to members of the Guild of Stewards or the Admin’s Office, so as to prepare the roster without much delay.
  3. THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generosity and personal sacrifice.  Your labour of love will not be in vain.  We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist  in donating them.
    1. Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)
    2. Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.
    3. Processional Cross for the Altar Servers (imported)
    4. Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)
    5. Copies of Hymn Books

 

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE

  1. DIOCESAN YOUTH DIRECTORATE ANNUAL CAMPING EXERCISE:- The camping exercise will start on Wednesday, 27th July to Saturday, 30th July, 2016 at the Diocesan Multipurpose Complex, Igboye, Epe. The camp fee is N3,000.00 per participant, and payment to be made or or before 13th July, 2016.  For more information, kindly contact Ven. Ife Okupevi on 0805-314-1466 or Ven.   2. DIOCESAN ELDERS’ FELLOWSHIP ANNUAL THANKSGIVING:- Date:  Next Sunday, 31st July, 2016 at Parish level, during the service.  All Elders and friends should please note.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:- Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  2. 140TH ANNIVERSARY OF MARY SUMNER’S DAY: Date: Tuesday,  August 9, 2016.  To mark this year’s Mary Sumner’s Day with 140th Anniversary of its existence, members of Mothers’ Union would join the 7.15 Holy Communion Service in the Chapel in their Mary Sumner’s uniforms.  Other ceremonies would continue after the service.  Members should please note and attend punctually.
  3. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/TALK: Date: Wednesday, 27th July, 2016 –  Contemporary Issue on “Traditional marriage/engagement is not enough” by  Mrs. Zipporah Bello.   Time: 4.00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  4. CLASSES FOR 2016 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2016 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension. Members should please be punctual.
  5. GIRLS & LADIES GUILD (INCLUDING BOYS) ANNUAL HOLIDAY CAMP:- Date:  Thursday, 4th August  to Sunday, 7th August, 2016 at Faith Plaza.  Those attending should put down their names with any of the Curates’ wives today.  Time of departure:  10 a.m.
  6. COLLECTION OF SACRIFICE CARDS: Please be informed that  the collection of sacrifice cards will be done at the main entrance of the church after the withdrawal hymn.  Members should please note and comply.
  7. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.
  8. LADIES & GIRLS’ GUILD INCLUDING BOYS’ PROGRAMME: Date: Today, after the service. Health Talk on “‘Nutritional Disorderby Lady Chika Dike.

 

OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

  1. CONFIRMATION CLASS: Confirmation class will hold immediately after the Service today. Confirmation Service is scheduled for Sunday, 16th October, 2016 at 9 a.m.
  2. THE PARISH CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING:The PCC members will meet on Thursday, 28th July, 2016 at 5 p.m.   Venue: Church Hall.   All members are to please collect their papers from the Front Office today or within the week.
  3. GLORIOUS NIGHT (VIGIL) FOR THE MONTH OF JULY:– Our Glorious Night (Vigil) for this month would hold on Friday, 29th  July, 2016.  Theme: “Who can be against us (Rom. 8: 31-39)”  Time:  10.30 p.m – 5.00 a.m. A guest preacher will be in attendance. Come and you will be richly blessed.

TESTIMONY & HEALING SERVICE/HOLY COMMUNION:- Next Sunday, 31st July, 2016, we shall be having a Joint Service of Testimony & Healing with Holy Communion at 9 a.m.  Members willing to testify of His goodness on their lives should please liaise with the Vicar or any of the Curates on or before Wednesday, 27th July, 2016.

  1. FREE EYE SCREENING FOR CATARACT SURGERY:- This free eye screening and surgery organised by some Indian doctors will take place on the following Saturdays,   August, 6, 13, 20, 2016 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Free Eye Camp, Rotary Club of Lagos, 1, D’Alberto Road, Palmgrove, Ilupeju, Lagos
