GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

1. 1. All glory, honour and praises to God for His faithfulness and goodness that have hitherto preserved all of us.  We welcome all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service.  God will surround all of us with His presence and favour, and also steadily and with Divine speed fulfill His purposes in our lives and families in Jesus name.
   2. We welcome all our eminent guests (first timers) very specially and pray that God will orchestrate unusual testimonies in their lives and families in Jesus name. We appeal to them to fill the form given to them and to also wait briefly to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM” after this service.  They are also enjoined to each take a copy of our bulletin for reference.
   3. Congratulatory felicitations to all the birthday celebrants of the week. We also congratulate all those who are having their wedding anniversaries this week.  We wish them all longevity, robust health, sustained joy, divine peace and accomplishment in Jesus name.
2. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: Please note that our annual membership due is now minimum of N2,000= for each member and takes effect from today.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish, and pay our dues promptly.

4. DRESSING OF BRIDES AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BRIDAL TRAIN DURING WEDDING SERVICES: We use this medium to appeal to all parents and guardians whose children (daughters or daughters-in-law) will be getting married to teach them the dignity of decent dressing, especially during  wedding services. By decent dressing, we mean that the wedding gowns and other wedding dresses should cover  the entire body.  Any indecent      dressings during such occasions will be frowned at and the clergy will not take   kindly to it. This is a very important notice that must be taken seriously by all our  parishioners  and other worshippers because we will not compromise the Word of God for any reason.

 

INFORMATION FROM THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA:

SUPPORT FOR CLERGY STIPENDS IN SELECT DIOCESE OF THE CHURCH OF  NIGERIA:  We sincerely appreciate our parishioners who have responded positively to the Primate’s passionate appeal concerning the payment of clergy in a number of our dioceses across the nation.  God will continue to increase them in all good things and also on all sides.  We still appeal to many others who are in positions to do so to kindly emulate them.  Please let us assist in alleviating the problems of these clergymen and their dependants.

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

1. 2017 LAGOS PROVINCIAL ANNUAL WOMEN’S ESSAY COMPETITION FOR YOUTHS:  Theme:  “No Cross, No Crown”.  Levels:  Pry. 6; JSS 3.  Interested candidate should get in touch with the Vicar’s wife for details.
2. IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY WOMEN’S QUARTERLY MEETING: Today, 4th June, 2017, Time: 10.00am, Venue: Church of the Nativity, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi. Topic: “May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely in love” (Eph. 3: 17).
3. MOTHERS’ UNION MEETING/PROGRAMME:  Date: Tuesday, 6th June, 2017. Topic: “Parenting Adolescents” Time:  4.00 p.m. by Mrs. Anu Koleowo. May you be richly blessed as you attend.
4. WOMEN’S BIBLE QUIZ: Date: Saturday, 10th  June, 2017.  Time: 11.00 a.m. Venue: Faith Plaza. Those concerned should please note and attend punctually.
5. WOMEN’S GUILD PRAYER MEETING: Date: Wednesday, 7th April, 2017.  Topic: “I am the bread of life” (John 6: 48). Time: 4.00p.m. by Mrs. Kate Usiade. May you be richly blessed as you attend.
6. INFORMATION FOR THE WOMEN – RE: OUR SAVIOUR’S CHURCH WOMEN’S WHATSAPP:-  All our women should please note that the Women’s Whatsapp platform created is only meant for information & notices from the Diocese and the Archdeaconry.  Do not post anything there, please.
7. REGISTRATION FOR 2017 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:– Members willing to enroll into Mothers’ Union for the year 2017 should please put down their names and telephone nos. with the Vicar’s wife (Mrs.F. Oyediran) or with the Admin. Manager today or within the week.
8. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to  assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

2. 2017 WOMEN’S HARVEST: Next Sunday, the 11th June, 2017 is our Women’s Harvest Thanksgiving. We shall have a Joint Service at 9.00 a.m. to celebrate the Harvest. Please, continue to pray for the Co-ordinator of the Day – Mrs. Bose Ajayi, her husband, children and supporters; our Special Guest – Chief (Mrs) Funke Arthur-Worrey and her children;  and all our women, for a successful harvest.
3. ARCHDEACONRY READERS MEETING: Date: Sunday, 11thJune, 2017 at 1.30 p.m. Venue: Church of the Nativity, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi. All our Readers should please, take note.
4. ARCHDEACONRY LADGOS MEETING: Holding at Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos on Sunday, 18thJune, 2017 at 1.30 p.m. Members of Stewards should please, take note and attend punctually.
5. CONFIRMATION CLASSES FOR YEAR 2017: Interested candidates, aged 13 years and above who have not been confirmed, are to obtain registration form from the admin Manager’s office. The class starts on Sunday, 25th June, 2017 immediately after the 11.00am service.
6. A CROSS OVER NIGHT INTO THE SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR: A special vigil tagged “Do not doubt,…for the Lord will do great thing” holds on Friday, 31stJune, 2017. As directed by the Holy Spirit, there is going to be a special prayer secession for all our chidlren, especially the first child of his/her parents. Please come with all your children especially the first child. You can also come with  their         photographs should in case your child(ren) are not readly available.
7. FINANCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (FAC) MEETING WITH LEADERS OF MINISTRIES FELLOWSHIPS & SERVICE GROUPS: All the leaders of Ministries/Fellowships and Service groups  in the church should note the meeting slated for Sunday, 18th June, 2017 immediately after the Joint Fathers’ Day Service, and attend punctually.

8. CHURCH MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE MEETING:- Members of the Church Maintenance Committee will meet for their meeting today, 4th June, 2017 immediately after the 1100 Hrs. Service.
9. URGENT REQUEST FOR FINANCIAL/MEDICAL HELP:– A member of the church requires urgently, the sum of N600,000.00 (Six hundred thousand) for medical attention. If you are touched to assist this person, kindly liaise with the Vicar for further details.
10. BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR VALUABLES: Members and visitors are henceforth advised to be conscious  and take care of their  valuables such as bags, telephone handsets, money etc. in the church and outside the church premises because of the bad elements that mingle amongst us.

11. ILLEGAL PARKING ON GOVERNMENT ROAD: The Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts observed the illegal parking of  vehicles within our environment, and advised that members should please, utilize the TBS parking lots being paid for, every Sunday.
12. SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRY NOTICE TO PARENTS/GUARDIAN: Parents/Guardians are encouraged to please, send their teenage children to the Teenage class for services. They should not sit with their parents/guardians in the Adult Church. The Teenage Church is well suited and organized to cater for teenagers. God bless.
13. ADMISSION FORM INTO JS ONE IN BABINGTON MACAULAY JUNIOR SEMINARY: The admission  form into the above-named Junior Seminary is now on sale in this church at the Admin. Manager’s office. Payment should be made into Zenith Bank Plc: Babington Macaulay Junior  Seminary Account No: 1012883577 (Teller available in the same office). The teller would be used to obtain the form. Kindly liaise with the Admin. Manager for details.

16. FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
    1. We announce the call to glory of Mr. Onuora Utomi Onianwa (husband of Mrs. Clara Nkechi Onianwa and father of Mr. Chukwudifu Onianwa and others).  Funeral arrangements – Service of Songs on Thursday, 8th June, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church, Asaba at 5 p.m.;  Burial Service on Friday, 9th June, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church, Asaba at 10 a.m. Interment at the residence of the Onianwas, Nnebisi Road, Asaba

17. APPRECIATION FROM: The family of Mr. & Mrs. C.L. Abara, expesses sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Vicar and his wife, the rest of the Clergy and their wives, and the entire congregation of Our Saviour’s Church, for your show of love and commiseration with us on the demise of our mother-in-law and mother, and throughout the funeral rites. May the Lord bless you all, and we pray that we will all outlive our parents to the glory of God.
