GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. We are excited and very happy to have all our parishioners at this service. We pray that God will pour His blessings and Spirit upon you immeasurably now and always. He will make a way for each of you even where there seems to be no way. You will continue to be kept under the shadow of His wings in Jesus name.
    2. We welcome all our eminent guests with overwhelming joy and profound gratitude. We appeal to them to kindly wait to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM” after the service. They should please take the exit on the Lectern side and also fill the “First Timers’ Form” and return it to the ‘WELCOME TEAM’. Please study our weekly Bulletin and attend our programmes and activities as enshrined therein. God bless you richly
    3. We congratulate all BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS of this week and felicitate with them. God Almighty will equip and anoint them to live long in sound health, renewed strength and peace, and they will all fulfil their divine mandate in Jesus name. Happy Birthday. Hurray and cheers!
  1. 2016 WOMEN’S HARVEST: We welcome our Coordinator for this year’s Women’s Harvest – Mrs. Victoria Imiamiye, her husband Arc (Chief) Olufemi Majekodunmi, their children, grand-children, all their invited guests, and members of the congregation, and pray that God would continue to uphold and strengthen them physically, materially, spiritually and shower His blessings on us all.
  2. OUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: We are continuing with all these with renewed enthusiasm and passion after the celebration of Easter. We appeal to all our parishioners and other worshippers to show more interest and attend punctually. They are for our spiritual edification and total well-being. They are as follows:

      (i)   Daily Holy Communion @ 7.15 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays

      (ii)   Hour of Divine Intervention on Wednesdays @ 6.00 p.m to 7.30 p.m.

      (iii)  Bible Study on Fridays @ 3.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. & 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.

      (iv)  Overcomer’s Hour – First Day of the month @ 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.

      (v)  Glorious Night – Last Fridays of the month @ 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.

      (vi)  Workers’ Retreat – as the Vicar deems appropriate.

  1. FAMILY HARVEST: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication. As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy. Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvests. Kindly complete the enclosed form and return to members of the Guild of Stewards or the Admin’s Office, so as to prepare the roster without much delay.
  2. THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generosity and personal sacrifice. Your labour of love will not be in vain. We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist in donating them:
    1. Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)
    2. Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.
    3. Processional Cross for the Altar Servers (imported)
    4. Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)
    5. Copies of Hymn Books

 

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE

  1. LAGOS DIOCESAN DIRECTORATE OF READERS, LADGOS & ALTAR SERVERS’ MID-YEAR THANKSGIVING SERVICE: The Mid-Year Thanksgiving Service (Evensong) of the above-named group comes up on Sunday, 19th June, 2016 at Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos. Time: 3.00 p.m. All licensed Readers, Guild of Stewards and the Altar Servers should please note and attend with their uniforms.
  2. DIOCESAN YOUTH DIRECTORATE ANNUAL CAMPING EXERCISE:- The camping exercise will start on Wednesday, 27th July to Saturday, 30th July, 2016 at the Diocesan Multipurpose Complex, Igboye, Epe. The camp fee is N3,000.00 per participant, and payment to be made or or before 13th July, 2016. For more information, kindly contact Ven. Ife Okupevi on 0805-314-1466 or Ven.   3. CLERGY WELFARE WEEK:- The Lagos Diocesan Clergy Welfare week has been scheduled from Sunday, 26th June to Sunday, 10th July, 2016. Sensitization would take place in all churches on Sunday, 26th June and members are encouraged to make donations from that day until the 10th July. Kindly donate generously for the welfare of the clergy, particularly those in very difficult missionary areas, the retired bishops, clergy and clergy widows. The Lord will bless you specially as you give in cash or kind for the welfare of the clergy. The cheques should be addressed in favour of CLERGY WELFARE OF LAGOS ANGLICAN DIOCESE. God bless you.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. REGISTRATION FOR 2016 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT: Members willing to enrol into Mothers’ Union for the year 2016 should please put down their names and telephone nos. with the Vicar’s wife (Mrs. F. Oyediran) or with the Admin. Manager today or within the week.
  2. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:- Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  3. SACRIFICE CARDS: We appreciate most sincerely all our women for their generousity ans sacrifice in this regard. The Lord will reward them bountifully and solve all their problems in Jesus name. We still appeal that they should please, not relent and God will do incredible things in their lives in Jesus’ name.
  4. WOMEN’S VISIT TO FEMALE PRISON, KIRIKIRI:- Our women would visit the inmates at Female Prison, Kirikiri on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Please support them with whatever God put in your hearts today.
  5. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/TALK: Date: Wednesday, June 15, 2016 Health Talk on “Mumpsby Dr. Phil Ofulue. Time: 4.00p.m. May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  6. IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY WOMEN’S QUARTERLY MEETING:- Date: Today, Sunday, 12th June 2016.     Venue: St. John’s Church, Falomo. Topic: To God be the glory (2 Peter 3: 18). Dress code: White & Green.
  7. LADIES & GIRLS’ GUILD INCLUDING BOYS’ PROGRAMME: Date: Today, after the service. Bible Study on “‘Briddle your tongue (James 3: 1-12) by Mrs. H. Adeyemi.
  8. YOUNG WIVES’ FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: Date: Next Sunday, 19th June, 2016 immediately after the 9 a.m. service. Topic: “Discover your spouse love language”.   Speaker: Mrs. Magdalene Adegoke.   Venue: Chapel Extension.
  9. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

 

OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

  1. 1. FATHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION:- Please note that next Sunday, 19th June, 2016 is Father’s Day. We shall celebrate at the 9.00 a.m. Combined Holy Communion Service. Our fathers would play prominent role, while the mothers would equally support. Members should please note, and pray for the success of the programme.
  2. HOSPITAL VISITING MINISTRY/CHURCH CLINIC MEETING: Members of the HVM /Church Clinic are please reminded of their meeting at the Clinic immediately after the Service today. New members are warmly welcomed.
  3. INVESTMENT COMMITTEE MEETING:- Members of the Investment Committee would meet on Wednesday, 15th June, 2016 at 12noon at the usual venue. All members are enjoined to attend promptly.
  4. CONFIRMATION CLASS: Confirmation class immediately after Service today. Confirmation Service is scheduled for Sunday, 16th October, 2016 at 9 a.m.
  5. INVITATION TO THE 90TH BIRTHDAY THANKSGIVING OF PROF. JOSEPH ADEPEGBA SODIPO:- Members are all invited to the 90th Birthday Thanksgiving of Prof. J.O.A. Sodipo. Date: 18th June, 2016, Time is: 12 noon. Venue: Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos.
  6. MEN’S CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP MEETING:- The meeting of members of the Men’s Christian Fellowship comes up on Saturday, 18th June, 2016 at 9 a.m. All members should endeavour to attend.
  7. APPRECIATION: The Business Fellowship of Our Saviour’s Church hereby expresses its profound gratitude to all those that made the 2016 Entrepreneurship Development for 4 Mondays in May a resounding success.,most importantly, the Vicar, the Curates, the Church Guild of Stewards, the Church Administrator, Sextons, Security personnel, all those present, Corporate Companies -Toki Mabogunje & Co as Facilitator, Sence Ltd as resource person, Thrilling Diet & Co Ltd – sponsored the refreshment, IT & T borrowed us projector. The Youth Fellowship also borrowed us and managed the projector. The Lord will favour you all, whatever you lay your hands on will be a success, and all the companies will grow like the trees planted by the river side, they will never wither in Jesus Name.

  1. Mr. Babafemi & Mrs. Magdalene Adegoke on the call to glory of their mother and mother-in-law, Mrs. S. M. Fatogun. Aged: 84 years. Funeral arrangement to be announced later.
  2. Mr. Kelvin Egwim (of the Praise Band) on the sudden call to glory of his eldest brother – Mr. Joseph Egwi. Aged: 55 years. Burial arrangement to be announced later.
  3. Samuel, Yewande, Clare and Ayokunle on the Call to Glory of their mother – Mrs. Victoria Ebun Odia. Aged: 81 years. Funeral arrangements to be announced later.
  4. Ven Joshua O. Omotuyi and the children, on the call to glory of their wife and mother, Mrs. Folasade Olufunke Omotuyi. Aged: 59+
