GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. We welcome all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service. We congratulate and felicitate with all our fathers on this great day of theirs and pray that God will endow them with heavenly wisdom and make adequate provisions for them to meet their ever increasing spiritual and moral and financial obligations.
    2. We welcome all our eminent guests with overwhelming joy and profound gratitude. We appeal to them to kindly wait to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM” after the service. They should please take the exit on the Lectern side and also fill the “First Timers’ Form” and return it to the ‘WELCOME TEAM’. Please study our weekly Bulletin and attend our programmes and activities as enshrined therein. God bless you richly
    3. We congratulate all BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS of this week and felicitate with them. God Almighty will equip and anoint them to live long in sound health, renewed strength and peace, and they will all fulfil their divine mandate in Jesus name. Happy Birthday. Hurray and cheers!
  1. 2016 WOMEN’S HARVEST – APPRECIATION: The Vicar , the PCC and the Harvest Committee appreciate and thank those who contributed in various ways in making our 2016 Women’s Harvest of last Sunday a success.   Also for the love and fellowship shown. God bless you all!
  2. OUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: We are continuing with all these with renewed enthusiasm and passion after the celebration of Easter. We appeal to all our parishioners and other worshippers to show more interest and attend punctually. They are for our spiritual edification and total well-being. They are as follows:
    1. Daily Holy Communion @ 7.15 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays
    2. Hour of Divine Intervention on Wednesdays @ 6.00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
    3. Bible Study on Fridays @ 3.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. & 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
    4. Overcomer’s Hour – First Day of the month @ 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.
    5. Glorious Night – Last Fridays of the month @ 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m
    6. Workers’ Retreat – as the Vicar deems appropriate.
  3. FAMILY HARVEST: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication. As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy. Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvests. Kindly complete the enclosed form and return to members of the Guild of Stewards or the Admin’s Office, so as to prepare the roster without much delay.
  4. THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generosity and personal sacrifice. Your labour of love will not be in vain. We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist in donating them:
    1. Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)
    2. Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.
    3. Processional Cross for the Altar Servers (imported)
    4. Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)
    5. Copies of Hymn Books

 

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE

  1. LAGOS DIOCESAN DIRECTORATE OF READERS, LADGOS & ALTAR SERVERS’ MID-YEAR THANKSGIVING SERVICE: The Mid-Year Thanksgiving Service (Evensong) of the above-named group comes up today Sunday, 19th June, 2016 at Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos. Time: 3.00 p.m. All licensed Readers, Guild of Stewards and the Altar Servers should please note and attend with their uniforms.
  2. DIOCESAN YOUTH DIRECTORATE ANNUAL CAMPING EXERCISE:- The camping exercise will start on Wednesday, 27th July to Saturday, 30th July, 2016 at the Diocesan Multipurpose Complex, Igboye, Epe. The camp fee is N3,000.00 per participant, and payment to be made or or before 13th July, 2016. For more information, kindly contact Ven. Ife Okupevi on 0805-314-1466 or Ven.   3. CLERGY WELFARE WEEK:- The Lagos Diocesan Clergy Welfare week has been scheduled from Sunday, 26th June to Sunday, 10th July, 2016. Sensitization would take place in all churches next Sunday, 26th June and members are encouraged to make donations from that day until the 10th July. Kindly donate generously for the welfare of the clergy, particularly those in very difficult missionary areas, the retired bishops, clergy and clergy widows. The Lord will bless you specially as you give in cash or kind for the welfare of the clergy. The cheques should be addressed in favour of CLERGY WELFARE (DIOCESE OF LAGOS). God bless you.
  4. LAGOS DIOCESAN MEDICAL COMMISSION 2016 ANNUAL SEMINAR:- The annual seminar of the Lagos Diocesan Medical Commission comes up on Saturday, 9th July, 2016 at Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos. Time: 10.00 a.m. Speaker: Dr. B. O. Koleowo. Topic: ‘THE EFFECT OF WORK ON HEALTH’. You are all cordially invited.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. REGISTRATION FOR 2016 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT: Members willing to enrol into Mothers’ Union for the year 2016 should please put down their names and telephone nos. with the Vicar’s wife (Mrs. F. Oyediran) or with the Admin. Manager today or within the week.
  2. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:- Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  3. WOMEN’S Wave of Prayers:- Date: Tuesday, 21st June – Saturday, 25th June, 2016 at the Chapel. Time: 4 p.m. each day. Women are encourage to please attend.
  4. feast of john the baptist:- The Feast of John the Baptist service would hold on Friday, 24th June, 2016 at 10.00 a.m. in the main church. Dress code: White & Blue or White & Green. All are invited.
  5. MID-YEAR THANKSGIVING BY WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS:- The Diocesan Women’s & Girls’ Organisations Mid-Year Thanksgiving comes up next Sunday, 26th June, 2016 at St. Paul’s Church, Kirikiri at 1 p.m. Women are to be seated by 12.30 p.m. The church bus leaves the premises at 11.00 a.m. Dress code: White & Blue or White & Green.
  6. YOUNG WIVES’ FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: Date: Today Sunday, 19th June, 2016 immediately after the 9 a.m. service. Topic: “Discover your spouse love language”.   Speaker: Mrs. Magdalene Adegoke.   Venue: Chapel Extension.
  7. SACRIFICE CARDS: We appreciate most sincerely all our women for their generosity and sacrifice in this regard. The Lord will reward them bountifully and solve all their problems in Jesus name. We still appeal that they should please, not relent and God will do incredible things in their lives in Jesus’ name.
  8. LADIES & GIRLS’ GUILD INCLUDING BOYS’ PROGRAMME: Date: Today, after the service. Talk on “‘Dangers of not heeding to correction by Mrs. Chinwe Osuno-Ilogu
  9. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

 

OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

  1. FATHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION:- We congratulate all our fathers and fathers-in-waiting on this occasion of fathers’ day! We pray that God will make them successful fathers and responsible heads of their various homes. We appreciate our Sunday School children,Youths and members of Men’s Christian Fellowship, for blessing us with songs, drama and gifts today. We also appreciate our women for taking care of our fathers. May God shower His blessings on us all in Jesus name.
  2. CONFIRMATION CLASS: Confirmation class will hold immediately after the Service today. Confirmation Service is scheduled for Sunday, 16th October, 2016 at 9 a.m.
  3. GLORIOUS NIGHT (VIGIL) FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE:– Our Glorious Night (Vigil) for this month holds on Friday, 24th June, 2016 Theme: “The unchanging God” (Mal. 3: 16) Time: 10.30 p.m. – 5.00 a.m. Come and you will be richly blessed.

  2. We share in the pains of Mr. Emeka & Mrs. Chinyelu Ugoji on the call to glory of their father and father-in-law respectively – MR JOSHUA IHEANACHO UGOJI on Monday, 6th June, 2016. Aged: 80 years. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
