Notices for June 21, 2015

  1. WELCOME- We heartily welcome you all who are worshipping God along with us today for the first time and pray that His love would be  extended to you and members of your families. Kindly complete the form given to you and hand it over to the members of the church’s WELCOME TEAM who will meet with you at the CHOIR OFFICE point immediately after the service. Kindly join them through the Exit by  the Lectern side of the church.
  2. DAILY HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE: – Please join us at 7.15 a.m. each day in the Chapel. God bless you.
  3. FATHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION:- We congratulate all our fathers and fathers-in-waiting on this Father’s Day!  We pray that He will make them successful fathers and responsive heads of their various homes. We appreciate our Sunday School children,Youths and Men’s Christian Fellowship, for blessing us with some messages respectively through songs, drama  and gifts today.
  4. INFORMATION TO ALL MEN:- All men of 35 years or older and all married men should please wait behind in the main church immediately after the service, so as to be attended to by the Committee in-charge.
  5. 2015 WOMEN’S HARVEST: Next Sunday, the 28th June, 2015 at 9.00 a.m., we shall have a Joint Service to celebrate this year’s Women’s Harvest. Please, continue to pray for the Co-ordinator, her husband and her supporters and all our women for a successful harvest.
  6. COMMUNITY HYMNS SINGING FOR JUNE BABES: We rejoice with all the June  Babes as they mark their month today during our Community Hymns Singing at 6.00 p.m.  Please come with your friends and family membersMay His abundant blessings be upon you as you turn-up for the service.
  7. THE MATTHEW 25: 35 FUND:- Please be reminded of the call on 15th March, 2015 (Mothering Sunday) for 100 members to volunteer to support the needy in this parish with N100,000.00 each.  We appreciate those who have responded.  Please be a blessing to those in need and the Lord will smile on you.  Please write your cheque in the name of ‘Our Saviour’s Church, Lagos & endorse at the back  “Matt. 25: 35 Fund”’  Thank you.
  8. MISSION SEED ENVELOPES: You are invited to help empower His  Grace, our Diocesan Bishop to help needy parishes and the mission fields in the diocese, within and outside the country by contributing at least One thousand Naira monthly towards the Mission Seed Project.  Mission Seed is collected every first Sunday of the month, but you could also pay during the week.  Please collect and use a set of envelopes to help you pay regularly and God will bless you abundantly.
  9. TITHE ENVELOPES: God has asked you to obey Him by bringing in the FULL tithes into His storehouse and put Him to test if He will not rain blessings on you. To help you do this, the church has provided envelopes for regular tithing. Please collect yours from the Guild of Stewards.  The Lord will bless you with His  abundance as you obey Him.  Tithes will be collected TODAY and  on every third Sunday of the month.  Please note that you can continue to pay your tithe at any other time of the week or make a direct transfer to the Church’s Bank account.
  10. THE PARISH CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING:The PCC members will meet on Thursday, 25th June, 2015 at 5 p.m.    Venue: Church Hall.   All members are to please collect their papers from the Front Office after this service.
  11. HARVEST COMMITTEE MEETING:The members of Harvest Committee would meet on Wednesday, 24th June, 2015 at the Church Hall.  Time:  6.00 p.m.  Members should please, be punctual.

REQUEST FOR ADVERTISEMENT IN WOMEN’S HARVEST SERVICE PROGRAMME: Our Women’s Harvest for this year comes up next Sunday, 28th June, 2015.  The Harvest Committee hereby solicits for more advertisements in the Service Programme. The advert rates are as follows:  Outside Back Cover –  N350,000.00;  Inside Back Cover –  N250,000.00;  Inside Front Cover –  N250,000.00; Inside Full Page –  N100,000.00;  Inside Half Page –  N50,000.00 and Inside Quarter Page –  N30,000  (All in full colour).  Kindly liaise with either  C.   13. GLORIOUS NIGHT (VIGIL) FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE:– Date:  Friday, 26th  June, 2015.  Theme: “New Anointing” (Acts 5: 12-21)”  Time:  10.30 p.m. – 5.00 a.m.  Come and you will be richly blessed.
  14. EDUCATION COMMITTEE:- Applications are invited from members/members’ children for consideration for scholarship for tertiary Education at any Public Institution in Nigeria.  Applicants must have admission and the necessary qualifications.   For enquiries call:  08033257929.
  15. 2015 SEA SUNDAY:-  The 2015 Sea Sunday takes place on 12th July.  Prayers will be said on that day for all Seafarers and all who see to their spiritual welfare.  A collection will be taken on that day for their support
  16. 2015 O.S.C. CHILDREN AND YOUTH SUMMER WORKSHOP IS HERE AGAIN: Our 2- week Children and Youth Summer Workshop 2015 holds between 27/07/15 -07/08/2015. The Youth Committee has packaged yet another interesting time for the benefit of our children. Core skills on offer include MUSIC, CRAFT, PHOTOGRAPHY, ICT etc. Excursion to Olumo rock is a special feature on this year’s Programme. General Counselling topics will be offered and games are also available plus free lunch daily. Registration Forms available at the Administration office at N2.500.00.  The excursion attracts an additional fee of N1,500.00. Register your children and wards today.  Limited spaces available.
  17. Feast of john the baptist:– The Feast of John the Baptist service would hold on Wednesday, 24th June, 2015 at 1.00 p.m. in the Chapel.  All are invited.
  1. MID-YEAR THANKSGIVING BY WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS:- The Diocesan Women’s & Girls’ Organisations mid-year thanksgiving comes up next Sunday, 28th June, 2015  at Holy
    Trinity Church, Ado at 1 p.m.  Women are to be seated by 12.30 p.m.  The church bus leaves the premises at 12 noon.
  2. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/TALK: Date: Wednesday, 24th June, 2015 Contemporary Issue on “Maintaining success in life” by  Barr (Mrs) Christy Egere.  Time:  4.00 p.m.   You are all welcome
  3. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  4. LADIES & GIRLS’ GUILD INCLUDING BOYS’ PROGRAMME: Date: Today after the service.  Talk on ‘Be alert and security consciousby Mrs. Zipporah Bello.
  5. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.
  6. CLASSES FOR MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2015 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension.  Members should please be punctual.
