GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. All glory, honour and praises to God for His faithfulness and goodness that have hitherto preserved all of us.  We welcome all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service.  God will surround all of us with His presence and favour, and also steadily and with Divine speed fulfill His purposes in our lives and families in Jesus name.
    2. We welcome all our eminent guests (first timers) very specially and pray that God will orchestrate unusual testimonies in their lives and families in Jesus name. We appeal to them to fill the form given to them and to also wait briefly to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM” after this service. They are also enjoined to each take a copy of our bulletin for reference.
    3. Congratulatory felicitations to all the birthday celebrants of the week. We wish them all longevity, robust health, sustained joy, divine peace and accomplishment in Jesus name.
  1. MID-DAY PRAYERS DURING LENTEN SEASON: There will be mid-day prayers (12 noon – 1 p.m) from Mondays to Fridays in our church throughout this Lenten period.  Please pray for the grace to be there.  There will always be a clergyman to lead us.
  2. PRAYER REQUEST: Members are implored to send prayer requests to the church during our spiritual programmes and activities both on Sundays and weekdays.  You do not have to include your names/identities.  These prayer requests must reach the Vicar at least two (2) hours before the start of such services.
  3. MEMBERSHIP DATA:- We appeal to all our parishioners to fill and return the membership data form being provided at this service.  We need to update the data base so as to serve you better.  We wish to start sending daily devotionals, information and other spiritual materials.

  1. BOOKING OF EVENTS: Members are implored to see the Vicar for booking and not the Administrative Manager.  You can call to book for an appointment or see the Vicar’s Secretary.  He may have necessary information to give concerning the events and dates.
  2. SUBMISSION OF NOTICES FOR SUNDAY BULLETIN: This must reach the Vicar not later than Friday every week for adequate preparation.  Unless it is an emergency, nobody should send notices to the Vicar or any of the Curates during services.  Your maximum cooperation will be highly appreciated on this.

  5. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: is a minimum of N1,000.00.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish.

THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generousity and personal sacrifice.  Your labour of love will not be in vain.  We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist  in donating them

(i)      Wafer bread (priest wafers & for the congregation)

(ii)     Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.

   INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE:

  1. SUPPORT FOR CLERGY STIPENDS IN SELECT DIOCESE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA:  At the just concluded Standing Committee meeting of  the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), it was decided that parishes and individual (so touched) should please support some of the weak dioceses in the payment of their clergy stipends.  Kindly extend your hands of fellowship through your generous donations or link up with the Vicar for further information.  May God bless you as you do so.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. ANNUNCIATION OF BLESSED VIRGIN MARY: This annual Holy Communion Thanksgiving Service to commemorate the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be holding in our church by God’s grace on Saturday, 25th March, 2016 at 10.00 a.m.
  2. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/CONTEMPORARY ISSUES: Date: Wednesday, 22nd March, 2017 – Topic: “Faithfulness in Stewardshipby  Mrs. Taiwo Imoukhuede.   Time: 4.00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  3. 2017 MOTHERING SUNDAY: Mothering Sunday is  on 26th March, 2017.  Please pray for the success of the programme.
  4. REGISTRATION FOR 2017 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT: Members willing to enroll into Mothers’ Union for the year 2017 should please put down their names and telephone nos. with the Vicar’s wife (Mrs. F. Oyediran) or with the Admin. Manager today or within the week.
  5. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.
  6. PARISH CHARITY DAY:The Charity Day for the needy within our environment comes up very soon. We appeal for donations in cash and kind.  Items needed include:  Food stuff (Rice, beans, yam, noodles, vegetable oil, provisions etc);  new and fairly used clothing, kitchen utensils etc. These items should be deposited with the Vicar’s wife, any of the Curates’ wives or at the Church Administrative Office.  May God bless you as you do so.  OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

  1. HOSPITAL VISITING MINISTRY’S MONTHLY MEETING: Members of the HVM will have a brief meeting immediately after the 1st service today.  All members are encouraged to attend promptly.
  2.  CLERGY TRANSFER:
    1. Very recently upon the transfer of The Ven. Tunde Oduwole, who was the  Principal of C.M.S. Grammar School, Bariga till 3rd of April, 2017 to BMJS, Ikorodu as principal was moved to assist Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, considering the distance of BMJS and the volume of work in his new duty post at Ikorodu. He would resume here 4th April, 2017.
    2. The Revd. Dr. Seun Adeyemi, a Curate at Our Saviour’s Church, TBS was  moved to the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina as one of the Cathedral Priest.
  3. IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY PCC JOINT RETREAT:  Date:  Saturday, 1st April, 2017 at 9.00 a.m.  Venue:  St. John’s Church, Falomo.
  4. SOLEMN ASSEMBLY/PRAYER CONFERENCE: This would hold on Saturday, 8th April, 2017 in the Main Church. Our Resource person is The  Rt. Revd. Dr. B.F.R.  Ogunbamwo
  5. KINGDOM REVIVAL CONFERENCE, LAGOS:- Date:  Friday 24th and Saturday, 25th March, 2017 at Landmark Event Centre, Oniru, off Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victoria Island. Time:  Teaching and Impartation –  9 a.m. – 5 p.m.;  Healing Service for all –  6 p.m. – 9 p.m.          Admission is free.
  6. THE LITERATURE AND PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE: Requests the submission of entries for the June 2017 edition of The Good Tidings Magazine. The entries may be in the form of articles, jokes, riddles, cartoons etc, that would be of benefit to reader.

  1. ILLEGAL PARKING ON GOVERNMENT ROAD: The Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts observed the illegal parking of vehicles within our environment, and advised that members should please, utilize the TBS parking lots being paid for, every Sunday.
  2. BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR VALUABLES: Members and visitors are henceforth advised to be conscious  and take care of their  valuables such as bags, telephone handsets, money etc. in the church and outside the church premises because of the bad elements that mingle amongst us.

    1. We share in the pains of Dr. Peter & Mrs. (Pharm.) Helen Nmadu on the call to glory of their father-in-law & father respectively, retired Rev. Canon Joshua A. Yisa. Aged: 94 years.
