GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. All glory, honour and praises to God for His faithfulness and goodness that have hitherto preserved all of us.  We welcome all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service.  God will surround all of us with His presence and favour, and also steadily and with Divine speed fulfill His purposes in our lives and families in Jesus name.
    2. We welcome our Guest Preacher of today, The Ven. Dr. Oluyinka Sangotunde and appreciate him most sincerely for honouring our invitation and also for soul-inspiring and life-transforming sermon that God has graciously used him to deliver this morning. God will continue to honour you, water you and prosper your ministry in Jesus name.
    3. We welcome all our eminent guests (first timers) very specially and pray that God will orchestrate unusual testimonies in their lives and families in Jesus name.  We appeal to them to fill the form given to them and to also wait briefly to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM” after this service.  They are also enjoined to each take a copy of our bulletin for reference.
    4. Congratulatory felicitations to all the birthday celebrants of the week.  We wish them all longevity, robust health, sustained joy, divine peace and accomplishment in Jesus name.
  1. 2017 ROGATION/HARVEST LAUNCH: Today, we mark our Year 2017 Rogation/Harvest Season Launch and Planting. We welcome our Chief Planters, Mr & Mrs Goke Taylor, together with their supporters, other invitees, members of the congregation and pray that the Lord will continue to bless us all. Pledge Forms and Donation Envelopes, for your seeds, are in the special programme printed for today’s service. At a point, items brought to represent your businesses, professions careers or other human endeavours as a point of contacts would be prayed upon. As we all sow to the Lord, may His grace and favour continue to be upon us.
  2. MEMBERSHIP DATA:-  We appeal to all our parishioners to fill and return the membership data form being provided at this service.  We need to update the data base so as to serve you better.  We wish to start sending daily devotionals, information and other spiritual materials.

  1. DRESSING OF BRIDES AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BRIDAL TRAIN DURING WEDDING SERVICES: We use this medium to appeal to all parents and guardians whose children (daughters or daughters-in-law) will be getting married to teach them the dignity of decent dressing, especially during  wedding services. By decent dressing, we mean that the wedding gowns and other wedding dresses should cover  the entire body.  Any indecent  dressings during such occasions will be frowned at and the clergy will not take   kindly to it.

This is a very important notice that must be taken seriously by all our  parishioners and other worshippers because we will not compromise the Word of God for any  reason.

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. 2017 LAGOS PROVINCIAL ANNUAL WOMEN’S ESSAY COMPETITION FOR YOUTHS:  Theme:  “No Cross, No Crown”.  Levels:  Pry. 6; JSS 3.  Interested candidate should get in touch with the Vicar’s wife for details.
  2. ARCHDEACONRY BIBLE QUIZ: Date: Saturday, 27th May, 2017 Venue: Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Coordinator: Mrs. Fadeke Oyediran.
  3. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/CONTEMPORARY ISSUE: Date: Wednesday, 24th May, 2017.  Topic: “Modern Idols”. Time:  4.00p.m, by Mrs Mercy Osinowo. May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  4. YOUNG WIVES FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME:  comes up immediately after the first service today. Topic:  “Guard your utterance”  (Ephesians 4: 25 -32).  Speaker:  Mrs.Amaka Ojukwu.
  5. REGISTRATION FOR 2017 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:Members willing to enroll into Mothers’ Union for the year 2017 should please put down their names and telephone nos. with the Vicar’s wife (Mrs.F. Oyediran) or with the Admin. Manager today or within the week.
  6. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established  to  assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

  1. THE PARISH CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING:–  The PCC members will meet on Thursday, 26th May, 2017 at 5 p.m.   Venue: Chapel.   All members are to please collect their papers from the Front Office today or within the week.
  2. BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR VALUABLES: Members and visitors are henceforth advised to be conscious  and take care of their  valuables such as bags, telephone handsets, money etc. in the church and outside the church premises because of the bad elements that mingle amongst us.
  1. ILLEGAL PARKING ON GOVERNMENT ROAD: The Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts observed the illegal parking of vehicles within our environment, and advised that members should please, utilize the TBS parking lots being paid for, every Sunday.
  2. SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRY NOTICE TO PARENTS/GUARDIAN: Parents/Guardians are encouraged to please, send their teenage children to the Teenage class for services. They should not sit with their parents/guardians in the Adult Church. The Teenage Church is well suited and organized to cater for teenagers. God bless.
  3. DIVINE ENCOUNTER (VIGIL): Our monthly Divine Encounter (Vigil Service) comes up on Friday, 26th May, 2017 from 10.30 p.m.  The theme is   “The Lord is my help” (Psalm 121).   You are all invited to come and commune with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

  1. ADMISSION FORM INTO JSS ONE IN BABINGTON MACAULAY JUNIOR SEMINARY: The admission form into the above-named Junior Seminary is now on sale in this church at the Admin. Manager’s office. Kindly liaise with the Admin. Manager for details.
  2. THE LITERATURE AND PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE Requests the submission of entries for the June 2017 edition of The Good Tidings Magazine.  The entries may be in the form of articles, jokes, riddles, cartoons etc, that  would be of benefit to reader. Please send soft copies of your entries to  goodtidings@osc-tabs.or. if desired, authors may send in their photographs along with their entries. Please note the committee will review the entries and where contextual  amendments are to be made, the committee will contact the author for approval.
  3. MEN’S CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP MEETING:-  The   of members of the Men’s Christian Fellowship comes up on Saturday, 27th May, 2017 at 9 a.m.  All members should endeavour to attend.
