- OUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: We appeal to all parishioners and other worshippers to please attend any or all of them and God will bless you all beyond your expectations:
(i) Daily Holy Communion @ 7.15 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays
(ii) Hour of Divine Intervention on Wednesdays @ 6.00 p.m to 7.30 p.m.
(iii) Bible Study on Fridays @ 3.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. & 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
(iv) Over comer’s Hour – First Day of the month @ 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.
(v) Glorious Night – Last Fridays of the month @ 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.
(vi) Workers’ Retreat – as the Vicar deems appropriate.
- ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: is a minimum of N1,000.00. We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish.
- FAMILY HARVEST: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication. As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy. Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvests.
- THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generosity and personal sacrifice. Your labour of love will not be in vain. We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist in donating them
- Wafer bread (priest wafers & for the congregation)
- Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)
- Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.
- Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)
- Copies of Hymn Books
INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE
DIOCESAN COMMISSIONING AND LICENSING OF READERS will hold in our Church on Sunday, 4th December, 2016 at 4.00 p.m. It will be presided over by the Diocesan, His Grace, The Most Revd Dr. E.A. Ademowo, by God’s grace. Three of our members will be commissioned as Diocesan Readers. They are: Dame Nancy Oghenekaro, Pharm. Regina Ezenwa, and Mr. Dan. G.C. Horsfall. Let us continue to remember them in our prayers.
WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS
- VISIT BY OUR WOMEN:- The women would visit our members that are ill or bereaved today immediately after the first service. The church bus would be available in the Church premises.
- YOUNG WIVES’ FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: Members of Young Wives’ Fellowship meets today immediately after the 8 a.m. service. Venue: Chapel Extension.
- WOMEN OF GRACE MEETING/TALK: Members of Women of Grace meets today, 6th November, 2016 immediately after the first service at the Chapel Extension. Topic: “The potter and the clay (Isa. 64: 8; Rom. 9: 21) by Mrs. Marigold Olunaike.
- MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:- Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
- CLASSES FOR 2016 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2016 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension. Members should please be punctual.
- MOTHERS’ UNION HOUSE FELLOWSHIP ZONES AND CO-ORDINATORS
Please note that the Fellowship comes up every 3rd Saturday of the month. Kindly contact your nearest Coordinator for further enquiries. Thanks.
- WOMEN’S MEETING/TALK: Date: Wednesday, 9th November, 2016 – Bible Study 11. Topic: ‘The danger of turning from God’ by Lady Nkoli Moka. Time: 4.00p.m. May you be richly blessed as you attend.
- WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.
OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH
- 2016 CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION) DIVINE COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE (DIVCCON): This year’s Divine Commonwealth Conference of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) holds at Abuja from tomorrow 7th to Friday 11th November, 2016. Please pray for a fruitful conference.
- 2016 Gleaners’ Harvest : Please note that our Gleaners’ Harvest will hold on Sunday, 20th November, 2016. Gleaners’ Harvest is to round off our harvest season in line with the word of God in Leviticus 23: 22. The Harvest Committee felt that the best service will can offer to God is to take care of the needy, widows (widowers), orphans and the less privileged. Hence, we encourage every member of the church to ensure that the poor and the needy among us are blessed through us and through this harvest. Detailed information on this will be circulated next Sunday. If you are touched with this, pray to God to direct you aright on what to give to our needy ones and the less privileged before the day.
- ELDERS’ FELLOWSHIP MEETING:- The monthly meeting of the Elders’ Fellowship of Our Saviour’s Church, TBS will take place on Wednesday, 9th November, 2016 in the Chapel Extension at 10.00 a.m prompt. All elders of 65 years and above are cordially invited.
- ELDERS’ FELLOWSHIP ANNUAL THANKSGIVING:- The annual thanksgiving of the Elders’ Fellowship of this Parish will take place on Sunday, 13th of November, 2016 during the 8 a.m. Service. All elders of 65 years and above are expected to come together to thank God for His grace and many mercies on us.
- VISITATION TO MEMBERS:- Those who have privileged information about home bound parishioners as a result of sickness and/or old age should notify the Vicar or The Revd Canon Clement Iwuoha, for visitation to be arranged for them.
