GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. We welcome all our members and other worshippers at this service.  We appeal that we remember to pray for our dear nation for Divine Intervention at this difficult time.  Please take a copy of our weekly bulletin for reference.
    2. We also welcome all our guests who are fellowshipping for the first time. Please fill the form given to you and wait briefly after the service to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM’ as you exit through the door on the lectern side of the church.
    3. We congratulate all Birthday celebrants of the week and pray for longevity, robust health and prosperity for all of them.

  1. OUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: We appeal to all parishioners and other worshippers to please attend any or all of them and God will bless you all beyond your expectations:
    1. Daily Holy Communion @ 7.15 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays
    2. Hour of Divine Intervention on Wednesdays @ 6.00 p.m to 7.30 p.m.
    3. Bible Study on Fridays @ 3.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. & 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
    4. Overcomer’s Hour –  First Day of the month @ 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.
    5. Glorious Night –  Last Fridays of the month @ 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.
    6. Workers’ Retreat –  as the Vicar deems appropriate.
  1. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: is a minimum of N1,000.00.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish.
  2. FAMILY HARVEST: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication.  As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy.  Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvests.
  3. THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generosity and personal sacrifice.  Your labour of love will not be in vain.  We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist  in donating them
    1. Wafer bread (priest wafers & for the congregation)
    2. Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)
    3. Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.
    4. Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)
    5. Copies of Hymn Books

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE

DIOCESAN COMMISSIONING AND LICENSING OF READERS will hold in our Church on Sunday, 4th December, 2016 at 4.00 p.m. It will be presided over by the Diocesan, His Grace, The Most Revd Dr. E.A. Ademowo, by God’s grace. Three of our members will be commissioned as Diocesan Readers. They are:  Dame Nancy Oghenekaro, Pharm. Regina Ezenwa, and Mr. Dan. G.C. Horsfall.  Let us continue to remember them in our prayers.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. WOMEN OF GRACE MEETING/TALK: Members of Women of Grace meet  today, 6th November, 2016  immediately after the first service at the Chapel Extension.  Topic:  “The potter and the clay  (Isa. 64: 8; Rom. 9: 21) by Mrs. Marigold Olunaike.
  2. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:- Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  3. IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY WOMEN OF GRACE FELLOWSHIP: Date:   Saturday, 19th November, 2016.     Venue:  Church of the Messiah, Tarkwa Bay.  Time:  10.00 a.m.
  4. IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY CLERGYWIVES FELLOWSHIP:- Date:  20th November, 2016 at Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos. Time:  3.00 p.m.  Topic:  “Pray always”  (Ephesians 6: 18).
  5. MOTHERS’ UNION HOUSE FELLOWSHIP ZONES AND CO- ORDINATORS. Please note that the Fellowship comes up every 3rd Saturday  of the month.  Kindly contact your nearest Coordinator for further enquiries.  Thanks.
  6. WOMEN’S MEETING/TALK: Date: Wednesday, 16th November,  2016 –  Health Talk.   Topic: ‘River Blindness’  by Dr. Mike Ileka.  Time: 4.00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  1. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

 

OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

  1. 2016 Gleaners’ Harvest : Please note that our Gleaners’ Harvest will hold on Sunday, 20th November, 2016.  Gleaners’ Harvest is to round off our harvest season in line with the word of God in Leviticus 23: 22. The Harvest Committee felt that the best service we  can offer to God is to take care of the needy, widows (widowers), orphans and the less privileged, hence, we encourage every member of the church to ensure that the poor and the needy among us are blessed through us and through this harvest.  If you are touched with this, pray to God to direct you aright on what to give to our needy ones and the less privileged on or before next Sunday.
  2. NOVEMBER EDITION OF EVENING OF PRAISE will hold by God’s grace next Sunday (20th November, 2016) at 5.00 p.m prompt. We hope to give more prominence to contemporary music, solos, special numbers, drama/playlet, choreography, etc.  All those who are interested should please see the Vicar or Revd Canon Festus O.A. Ajayi to register.  We appreciate the Choir and Praise Band for their commitment and still appeal to them to attend punctually and in good number.
  3. HOSPITAL VISITING MINISTRY/CHURCH CLINIC MEETING:- Please be reminded that the monthly meeting of the above ministry holds today at the Clinic Conference room immediately after 8.00 a.m. Communion Service.  New members are welcomed.
  4. FAMILY HARVEST ON SUNDAY, 20TH NOVEMBER, 2016 AT 8.00 A.M. SERVICE:  Mr. & Mrs. ‘Femi Adegoke.
  5. “The Literature and Publications Committee requests the submission of entries for the December 2016 edition of Good Tidings. The entries may be in form of articles, jokes, riddles, cartoons, etc., that would be of benefit to readers. Please send soft copies of your entries to goodtidings@osc-tbs.org. Time: 5 p.m.;   Saturday, 19th November, 2016 –  Funeral Service at Cathedral Church of  St. Matthew, Ijebu Jesa.  Time:  10.00 a.m.  Interment takes place in the Church  premises. The Coaster bus will leave the church premises at 6.00 a.m.         on Saturday, November 19, 2016.  Members wishing to attend should kindly put  down their names and contact numbers in the Admin.
