Notices for November 15, 2015

  1. WELCOME- We heartily welcome you all who are worshipping God along with us today for the first time and pray that His love would be  extended to you and members of your families. Kindly complete the form given to you and hand it over to the members of the church’s WELCOME TEAM who will meet with you at the CHOIR OFFICE point immediately after the service. Kindly join them through the Exit by  the Lectern side of the church
  2. DAILY HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE: Join us at the 7.15 a.m. service in the Chapel every day of this week.
  3. FROM DIVCCON:  After four days of prayers, interaction and waiting on the Lord, participants rose from the 4th Divine Commonwealth Conference (DIVCCON) in Abuja with a call for Christians in Nigeria to take a firm stand for the Lord given the parlious nature of the time.  We are gradually moving to a time when one’s faith would determine one’s fortune. For those who do not know their God, the enemy would have a “walk-over”.  Please take your faith seriously for it does not profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul.
  1. INVITATION TO THE 70TH BIRTHDAY & RETIREMENT THANKSGIVING SERVICE OF VEN. S. IGEIN & MRS OLUWATOYIN ISEMEDE:- You are invited to the 70th Birthday & Retirement Thanksgiving Service of Ven. S. Igein & Mrs. Oluwatoyin Isemede today. The Service to be conducted by our Bishop and Dean Emeritus, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) would be at 2.00 p.m.  Also note that the Reception would take place thereafter at the Church Hall.
  2. TITHE ENVELOPES: God has asked you to obey Him by bringing in the FULL tithes into His storehouse and put Him to test if He will not rain blessings on you. To help you do this, the church has provided envelopes for regular tithing. Please collect yours from the Guild of Stewards.  The Lord will bless you with His  abundance as you obey Him.  Tithes will be collected TODAY and on  every Third Sunday of the month.  Please drop the tithe as you go for communion.  Please note that you can continue to pay your tithe at any other time of the week or make a direct transfer to the Church’s Bank account.
  3. MISSION SEED ENVELOPES:  You are invited to help empower His  Grace, our Diocesan Bishop to help needy parishes and the mission fields in the diocese, within and outside the country by contributing at least One thousand Naira monthly towards the Mission Seed Project.  Mission Seed  is collected every first Sunday of the month, but you could also pay during the week.  Please collect and use a set of envelopes to help you pay regularly and God will bless you abundantly.

TESTIMONY & HEALING SERVICE:- Our Testimony & Healing Service for this last quarter comes up next Sunday, 22nd November, 2015.   It would be a Joint Service at 9.00 a.m.  If you want to testify to the goodness of God in your life, kindly indicate between today and Wednesday, 18th November, 2015 to any of the Curates.
  2. INVESTMENT COMMITTEE MEETING:- Members of the Investment Committee would meet on Wednesday, 18th November, 2015 at 12noon at the usual venue.  All members should endeavour to attend promptly.
  3. BUSINESS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: Date:  Monday, 16th November, 2015. Time:  6-8 p.m.  Venue:  Chapel. Topic: ‘Divine Restoration’ Speaker:  Mrs. B. Fadamiro.  Please come and you will be richly blessed.
  4. MOTHERS’ UNION MEETING/TALK: Date: Tuesday, 17th November,  2015 –   Health Talk on ‘Lasser Fever’ by Dr. Mike Ileka, and Contemporary Issue on ‘A contented soul’ by Mrs. Kate Usiade. Time: 4.00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  5. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/TALK: Date: Wednesday, 18th November, 2015 – Health Talk on ‘Lasser Fever’ by Dr. Mike Ileka. Time: 4.00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  6. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  1. OBOSI-LAGOS FELLOWSHIP 2015 HARVEST AND FAMILY THANKSGIVING:- All sons and daughters of Obosi including well wishers are invited to the “2015 Harvest and Family Thanksgiving’ on Sunday, 22nd November,  2015 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, No. 1, Benson Akinyele Street, Oke-Afa, Isolo by 2.00 p.m.  Theme:  “Harvest of Grace”  Reception follows immediately after the Service at the same venue.  For enquiries, call Dalu on 08033245557.
  2. FOOD BANK: The Youth Ministry has started a Food Bank in the church. This service seeks to provide raw food stuffs and beverages for members who have nothing to eat. The distribution of food items to concerned parties is only done on first Sundays of any month. Kindly note that this is a covenant arrangement, only those in need should visit the place. Please, also feel free to join us to bring smile to faces that are stranded by providing for them through this medium.   3. DONATIONS TO CHURCH MADE EASY:  To facilitate paying  our Tithes, offerings and other donations, the following have been put in place:
    1. A PAYMENT POINT has been created near the Archbishop Adetiloye Conference Room.  A cashier is available at the point on Sundays immediately after each service and on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Should you get there after the cashier had left, you should please call 08075792685 and you would be attended to.
    2. DIRECT PAYMENT can be made by NEFT, etc into Zenith Bank Acct.  No: 1012760579 with sort code No: 057150107. Please specify the purpose such as Tithes, Harvest pledges, Mission Seed, Clergy Pension, etc.      and also inform the Church’s accountant on 08075792685.

  4. COMPULSORY PRE-MARRIAGE COUNSELLING: Please note that the pre-marriage counselling  has started.  The purpose of Counselling is to prepare our children on how to establish and maintain harmony in their marriages.  The programme is intensive and will take minimum of 12 weeks. Every potential couple should take note and avail themselves of this golden opportunity.  Parents should also note that this should be the first step in preparation for their children’s wedding. We expect all the “about to be married”  members to take note!  Clearance will not be given for wedding until the course is completed.
