    GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

  1.  THE VICAR’S VACATION:    The Vicar and Mama Yard have commence their 2016 vacation.  Please pray for them as they take some rest. While he is away, The Revd Canon Clement B. Iwuoha will stand in.   Please pray for a restful time for the Vicar and Mamayard, and pray for God’s grace for the Curates and their wives as they guide you.
    1. We welcome all our members and other worshippers at this service.  We appeal that we remember to pray for our dear nation for Divine Intervention at this difficult time.  Please take a copy of our weekly bulletin for reference.
    2. We also welcome all our guests who are fellowshipping for the first time.  Please fill the form given to you and wait briefly after the service to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM’ as you exit through the door on the lectern side of the church.
    3. We congratulate all Birthday celebrants of the week and pray for longevity, robust health and prosperity for all of them.

  1. OUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: We appeal to all parishioners and other worshippers to please attend any or all of them and God will bless you all beyond your expectations:
  • Daily Holy Communion @ 7.15 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays
  • Hour of Divine Intervention on Wednesdays @ 6.00 p.m to 7.30 p.m.
  • Bible Study on Fridays @ 3.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. & 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
  • Overcomer’s Hour – First Day of the month @ 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.
  • Glorious Night – Last Fridays of the month @ 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.
  • Workers’ Retreat – as the Vicar deems appropriate.
  1. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: is a minimum of N1,000.00.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish.
  2. FAMILY HARVEST: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication.  As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy.  Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvests.
  3. THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generosity and personal sacrifice.  Your labour of love will not be in vain.  We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist  in donating them
  • Wafer bread (priest wafers & for the congregation)
  • Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)
  • Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.
  • Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)
  • Copies of Hymn Books

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. ENDOWMENT FUND: – Church of Nigeria Women’s & Girls’ Endowment Fund will be collected throughout the month of October. We plead with all our women to please pay generously to any of the clergy wives.  God bless you all and enlarge your coast.  Amen.
  2. BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S BREAKFAST FELLOWSHIP: The Diocesan Business & Professional Women’s Breakfast Fellowship comes up on Saturday, 5th November, 2016 at the Church Hall.  Time:  8.00 a.m.  You are all invited and as you come, the Lord will richly bless you.
  3. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES: – Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  4. CLASSES FOR 2016 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2016 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension. Members should please be punctual.
  5. MOTHERS’ UNION HOUSE FELLOWSHIP ZONES AND CO-ORDINATORS

Please note that the Fellowship comes up every 3rd Saturday of the month.  Kindly contact your nearest Coordinator for further enquiries.  Thanks.

  1. MOTHERS UNION MEETING/TALK:  Date: Tuesday, 1st November, 2016 – Topic: ‘’Who rules your marriage/Homes’ Time: 00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  2. WOMEN’S MEETING/TALK: Date: Wednesday, 2nd November, 2016 – Prayer meeting/Testimony. Topic: ‘Draw strength from God’ (Nehemiah 8: 10) by F. Onwubalili.  Time: 4.00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  3. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

 

OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

  1. OTHER CLERGY LEAVE ROSTER (2016):- The other clergy will take their well-deserved rest in turns as per the times listed below:   (1)  Revd Canon Akpoghene Okoro –  November 1 – November 28;  (2)  Revd Canon Taiwo Awosika  –  Oct. 17 – Nov. 6;  (3)  Revd Charles Ezeh –  Oct. 3 – October 30.
  2. DIOCESAN COMMISSIONING AND LICENSING OF READERS will hold in our Church on Sunday, 4th December, 2016 at 4.00 p.m. It will be presided over by the Diocesan, His Grace, The Most Revd Dr. E.A. Ademowo, by God’s grace. Three of our members will be commissioned as Diocesan Readers. They are: Dame Nancy Oghenekaro, Pharm. Regina Ezenwa, and Mr. Dan. G.C. Horsfall.  Let us continue to remember them in our prayers.
  3. NOTICE FOR READERS: There will be Readers’ meeting on Sunday, 30th October 2016 immediately after the Healing & Testimony Service.
  4. DIVCCON 2016:- This year’s DIVCCON starts in Abuja from Monday, 7th to Friday, 11th November, 2016.  Interested members are encouraged to start registering now.  Registration fee is N3,500.00 payable to Zenith Bank Account No: 1130046359 (Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion Divccon) and obtain your PIN from the bank. Meet the Admin. Manager or go to www.divvcon.org for the process of registration.
  5. VISITATION TO MEMBERS:- Those who have privileged information about home bound parishioners as a result of sickness and/or old age should notify the Vicar or The Revd Canon Clement Iwuoha, for visitation to be arranged for them.

    1. We share in the pains of Mrs. Nike Aroloye on the call to glory of her brother after a surgery on 27th October, 2016 – Dr. Bayo Ayodele.  Aged:  63 years.  He is survived by wife, children and siblings. Funeral arrangements to be announced later.

Burial arrangements for Mrs. Grace Bosede Agbelusi (mother of Revd Canon OreOluwa Agbelusi) –  Friday, 18th November, 2016 – Christian wake at Church Hall, Cathedral Church of St. Matthew, Ijebu Jesa. Time: 5.00 p.m.; Saturday, 19th November, 2016 – Funeral Service at Cathedral Church of St.      Matthew, Ijebu Jesa.  Time:  00 a.m.  Interment takes place in the Church premises.
