GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. We welcome all our members and other worshippers at this service.  We appeal that we remember to pray for our dear nation for Divine Intervention at this difficult time.  Please take a copy of our weekly bulletin for reference.
    2. We also welcome all our guests who are fellowshipping for the first time.  Please fill the form given to you and wait briefly after the service to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM’ as you exit through the door on the lectern side of the church.
    3. We congratulate all Birthday celebrants of the week and pray for longevity,                robust health and prosperity for all of them.

  1. OUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: We appeal to all parishioners and other worshippers to please attend any or all of them and God will bless you all beyond your expectations:
    • Daily Holy Communion @ 7.15 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays
    • Hour of Divine Intervention on Wednesdays @ 6.00 p.m to 7.30 p.m.
    • Bible Study on Fridays @ 3.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. & 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
    • Overcomer’s Hour – First Day of the month @ 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.
    • Glorious Night – Last Fridays of the month @ 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.
    • Workers’ Retreat – as the Vicar deems appropriate.
  1. PRE-ADULT HARVEST REVIVAL:- Our Pre-Adult Harvest Revival holds from today at both services and continues on Monday, 10th October – Friday, 14th October, 2016 at 6.00 p.m. each day.
  2. OUR ADULT HARVEST THANKSGIVING SERVICE & LOVE FEAST:- Our 2016 Adult Harvest will hold next Sunday, 16th October, 2016 at 9.00 a.m. with Love Feast at the Cricket Pitch of TBS, Lagos.  God of harvest will bless all of us
  3. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: is a minimum of N1,000.00.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish.
  4. FAMILY HARVEST: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication.  As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy.  Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvests.
  5. THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generosity and personal sacrifice.  Your labour of love will not be in vain.  We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist  in donating them
    • Wafer bread (priest wafers & for the congregation)
    • Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)
    • Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.
    • Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)
    • Copies of Hymn Books\

 

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE: 

POSTING OF A CLERGYMAN:-  His Grace, the Diocesan effected the posting of Revd  & Mrs. Silas Ewere Okoh from Church of the Resurrection, 1004 Estate, Victoria Island as a Curate, and to our church also as a Curate with effect from Monday, 17th October, 2016 by God’s grace.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. ENDOWMENT FUND:- Church of Nigeria Women’s & Girls’ Endowment Fund will be collected throughout the month of October.  We plead with all our women to please pay generously to any of the clergy wives.  God bless you all and enlarge your coast.  Amen.
  2. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:- Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  3. CLASSES FOR 2016 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2016 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension. Members should please be punctual.
  4. MOTHERS’ UNION HOUSE FELLOWSHIP ZONES AND CO-ORDINATORS:

  1. WOMEN’S MEETING/HEALTH TALK:  Date: Wednesday, 12th October,  2016 – Bible Study 10. Topic: ‘Backsliding’ (Hosea 11: 1-12)’ by Mrs. Chinelo Mba.  Time: 4.00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  2. YOUNG WIVES’ FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: Earlier scheduled for next Sunday, 16th October, 2016 has been shifed to Sunday, 23rd October. 2016 because of the Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Service.  Members should please, note.
  3. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

 

OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

  1. CONFIRMATION SERVICE:
    1. Our confirmation service will hold on Sunday, 23rd October, 2016 at 9.00 a.m.  All who are being prepared to be confirmed should be very committed to what they are being taught.
    2. Confirmation candidates that are yet to be baptized should meet Revd Canon Clement Iwuoha to arrange a date for them on or before Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
    3. Those who are yet to submit their baptismal certificates should do so immediately for final compilation of the lists.  For accurate filling of the Confirmation Certificate, only baptismal certificates are to be used for the final list.

  2. ELDERS’ FELLOWSHIP OF OUR SAVIOUR’S CHURCH:- The monthly meeting of Parish Elders’ Fellowship comes up on Wednesday, 12th October, 2016 at the usual time – 10 a.m.  prompt.  All elders of 65 years and above are welcome with open arms.

DIVCCON 2016:- This year’s DIVCCON starts in Abuja from Monday, 7th to Friday, 11th November, 2016.  Members are please, encouraged to start registering now.  Divccon registration fee is N3,500.00 payable to Zenith Bank Account No: 1130045359 (Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion Divccon) and obtain your PIN from the bank.   3. VISITATION TO MEMBERS:- Those who have privileged information about home bound parishioners as a result of sickness and/or old age should notify the Vicar or The Revd Canon Clement Iwuoha, for visitation to be arranged for them.
  4. 2016 ADULT HARVEST – REQUEST FOR ADVERTISEMENT IN THE SERVICE PROGRAMME:  The 2016  Adult Harvest comes up next Sunday, 16th October, 2016.  It would be a Joint Service at 9 a.m. The Harvest Committee hereby solicits for advertisements in the Service Programme.
