  1. WELCOME We heartily welcome you all who are worshipping God along with us today for the first time and pray that His love would be  extended to you and members of your families. Kindly complete the form given to you and hand it over to the members of the church’s WELCOME TEAM who will meet with you at the CHOIR OFFICE point immediately after the service. Kindly join them through the Exit by  the Lectern side of the church.
  2. DAILY HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE: Join us at the 7.15 a.m. service in the Chapel every day this week.
  3. 2015 ADULTS’ HARVEST THANKSGIVING & LOVE FEAST:We thank God for the lives of our Chairman for this year’s Adults’ Harvest, Sir. Eleazar  & Lady Philomena Nwosa; the Parents of the Day, Engr. Guy & Barr (Mrs) Augustina Otobo;  the Cake Unveilers,  Otunba (Engr) Felix Babatunde  & Erelu Olusola Obada, all their supporters, and other Special Guests.  We welcome you all and pray that the Lord will continue to bless you and all yours.  Please note that the Love Feast would hold at the Cricket Pitch of the Tafawa Balewa Square Complex immediately after the thanksgiving service.
  4. A WEEK WITH THE LORD: We thank the The Rt. Revd (Prof.) Emmanuel Ajulo, The Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Okene, for being a blessing to us in this Church this last week.  We also thank God that attendance increased daily throughout the week.  We pray that the seeds sown will bear fruits that would, for long, be blessings to members of this Church.  We also appreciate him for being the preacher at today’s Harvest.  May the Lord continue to expand him and his family.
  5. EPISCOPAL VISIT OF HIS GRACE: His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. E.Adebola Ademowo, OON FNAL, Bishop of Lagos and the Dean Emeritus, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) will next Sunday, 18th October, 2015 at 9 a.m. and along with the President of the Women’s & Girls’Organisation of the diocese, Mrs. I. Oluranti Ademowo, pay an official (Episcopal) visit to our parish.  Please be ready to receive your bishop and pray for Episcopal blessings on you and your family.  At that service, candidates will be confirmed.  
  6. CONFIRMATION CLASS:  Confirmation class holds immediately after the 1100Hrs Service today.
  7. PARISH ELDERS’ FELLOWSHIP MEETING:- The monthly meeting of Parish Elders’ Fellowship comes up on Wednesday, 14th October, 2015 at the usual time – 10 a.m. All members are advised to attend to discuss important issues.  The ANNUAL  PICNIC will also be discussed and finalized.

CHURCH HOUSE FLATS: The six flats in the Church Block of Flats in Ikoyi are available for corporate or individual tenants.  The road (Obadeyi Close) has recently been rehabilitated with proper drains and interlocking paving stones.  Interested prospective tenants for one or all of the flats (individuals or companies) should please contact the Admin.   9. COMMUNITY HYMNS SINGING FOR OCTOBER BABES: Our monthly Community Hymns Singing to be sponsored by October Babes will hold next Sunday, 18th October, 2015 at 6.00 p.m.  Members celebrating their birthdays and events in the month of October and willing  to sponsor any hymn should please liaise with either The Revd Canon Akpoghene  Okoro or Mr. Michael Ipadeola, today or latest on Wednesday, 14th October, 2015.
  10. MEN’S CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP MEETING:- The monthly meeting of members of the Men’s Christian Fellowship comes up on Saturday, 17th October, 2015 at the Church Hall.  All members should endeavour to attend.
  11. HARVEST COMMITTEE MEETING:The members of Harvest Committee would meet on Wednesday, 14th October, 2015 at the Church Hall. Time:  6.00 p.m.  Members should please, be punctual.
  12. MISSION SEED ENVELOPES: You are invited to help empower His  Grace, our Diocesan Bishop to help needy parishes and the mission fields in the diocese, within and outside the country by contributing at least One thousand Naira monthly towards the Mission Seed Project.  Mission Seed  is collected on every first Sunday of the month, but you could also pay during the week.  Please collect and use a set of envelopes to help you pay regularly and God will bless you abundantly.
  13. TITHE ENVELOPES: God has asked you to obey Him by bringing in the FULL tithes into His storehouse and put Him to test if He will not rain blessings on you. To help you do this, the church has provided envelopes for regular tithing.   Please collect yours from the Guild of Stewards.  The Lord will bless you with His  abundance as you obey Him.  Tithes will be collected next Sunday, and on every Third Sunday of the month.  Please drop the tithe as you go for communion.  Please note that you can continue to pay your tithe at any other time of the week or make a direct transfer to the Church’s Bank account
  14. BUSINESS FELLOWSHIP’S 2015 MARKET FAIR, EXHIBITION AND BUSINESS DIRECTORY:- The Business Fellowship invites members of the church to showcase their products/services at its 2015 Market Fair.   Exhibition and launching of Business Directory would hold on Saturday 24th October 2015 between 9am and 6pm at the Church Hall to mark her 16th Anniversary with business talk on raising funds for SMES.    Corporate and Individual sponsors for the programme would be welcome.

  1. YOUNG WIVES’ 2015 MARRIAGE SEMINAR:- The 2015 Young Wives’ Marriage Seminar will hold on Saturday, 17th October, 2015 at Church of the Nativity, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi.  Time:  9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.   Topic:  Building a Balanced Home in the Midst of Great Wealth
  2. PARISH CHARITY DAY: The next Parish Charity Day will take place on Saturday, 24th October, 2015 at 10 a.m. Donations of Rice, Beans, Noodles, Yams, Beverages, Household utensils, Clothings in good condition and cash would be appreciated.  Please put a smile on the faces of the needy and God will richly bless you for it.
  3. LITERATURE & PUBLICATION COMMITTEE: The Literature and Publications Committee requests articles, jokes, cartoons and other content for the December edition of Good Tidings. Please send copies of your entries to goodtidings@osc-tbs.org. We appreciate all those who have continued to support us through advertisements. We will appreciate more advertisements and goodwill Christmas messages in the December edition of the magazine. The rates for advertisements are:

  1. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/TALK: Date: Wednesday, 14th October 2015  Bible Study 10 on ‘THE CHURCH’ by Mrs. Uloma Ubani-Ndu. Time: 4.00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  2. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  3. CLASSES FOR MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2015 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension.  Members should please be punctual.
  1. FOOD BANK: The Youth Ministry has started a Food Bank in the church. This service seeks to provide raw food stuffs and beverages for members who have nothing to eat. Kindly go to the rear entrance of the Church Hall if you find this helpful. Kindly note that this is a covenant arrangement, only those in need should visit the place. Please, also feel free to join us to bring smile to faces that are stranded by providing for them through this medium.   2. COMPULSORY PRE-MARRIAGE COUNSELLING: Please note that the pre-marriage counselling  has started.  The purpose of Counselling is to prepare our children on how to establish and maintain harmony in their marriages.  The programme is intensive and will take minimum of 12 weeks. 

Every potential couple should take note and avail themselves of this golden opportunity.  Parents should also note that this should be the first step in preparation for their children’s wedding. We expect all the “about to be married”  members to take note!  Clearance will not be given for wedding until the course is completed.

SODIPO TO THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF OMOLAJA SODIPO MEMORIAL ANGLICAN SCHOOL (OSMAS):– There will be a Thanksgiving Service to mark the celebration today Sunday 11th October, 2015 at Pearl Pavillion, Bishopscourt. Onikolobo, Abeokuta and Luncheon with Award Ceremony at 1.00 p.m. Prof. Joseph Adepegba Sodipo’s father, Hon. Chief Isaac Ademoye Omolaja Sodipo of blessed memory endowed the establishment of a Boarding School known as OMOLAJA SODIPO MEMORIAL ANGLICAN SCHOOL at Abeokuta.  The school celebrates her 20th Anniversary today.  Please pray for the growth of the school.

    1. Sir Okey & Lady Uju Ezibe on the call to glory of their mother-in-law and mother respectively –  MRS VICTORIA  ABUMCHUKWU NWAGU.  Aged: 82 years.  Funeral service on Friday, 27th November, 2015 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ifite-Nibo.  Time:  10.00 a.m.
    2. Arc. & Mrs. Charles Majoroh on the call to glory of their daughter – Mrs. Eseroghene Titiloye (Nee Majoroh) – [26/9/76 – 06/10.2015].  She was  until her death at the University of Pennsylvania Teaching Hospital in U.S.A., a Manager at FCMB.
    3. Mrs. Christiana Umoh Ekanem (wife), Glory, Emmanuel & Godwin (children) on the sudden call to glory of their husband and father –  BRIG. GEN. SIMEON ENO UMOH EKANEM  (14/10/61 –  08/10/15).  Until his death, he was the Director at Military Hospital, Lagos.
