GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. We welcome all our members and other worshippers at this service.  We appeal that we remember to pray for our dear nation for Divine Intervention at this difficult time.  Please take a copy of our weekly bulletin for reference.
    2. We welcome very specially and also with profound gratitude, our Guest Preacher and his wife, The Rt. Rev. & Mrs. Joseph A. F. Olusola, The Diocesan Bishop of Ijesha North East.  The Lord will continue to water them and they will increase on all side in Jesus name.

  1. 2016 ADULTS’ HARVEST THANKSGIVING & LOVE FEAST:- We thank God for the lives of our Chairman for this year’s Adults’ Harvest, Mr. & Mrs. Oladipo Okpeseyi, SAN; the Parents of the Day, Chief & Mrs. I.C. Ogbue;  the Cake Unveilers,  Mr & Mrs. Michael Osilama Otu, all their supporters, and other Special Guests.  We welcome you all and pray that the Lord will continue to bless you and all yours.  Please note that the Love Feast would hold at the Cricket Pitch of the Tafawa Balewa Square Complex immediately after the thanksgiving service.
  2. YEAR 2016 CONFIRMATION SERVICE:    Our confirmation service will hold next Sunday, 23rd October, 2016 at 9.00 a.m. Rehearsal for all the candidates holds on Saturday, 22nd October, 2016 at 4.00 p.m.
  3. OCTOBER EDITION OF OUR EVENING OF PRAISE will hold by God’s grace next Sunday (23rd October, 2016) at 5.00 p.m prompt.  We hope to give more prominence to contemporary music, solos, special numbers, drama/playlet, choreography, etc.  All those who are interested should please see the Vicar or Revd Canon Festus O.A. Ajayi to register.  We appreciate the Choir and Praise Band for their commitment and still appeal to them to attend punctually and in good number.
  4. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: is a minimum of N1,000.00.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish.
  5. FAMILY HARVEST: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication.  As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy.  Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvests.
  6. THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generosity and personal sacrifice.  Your labour of love will not be in vain.  We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist  in donating them
    1. Wafer bread (priest wafers & for the congregation)
    2. Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)
    3. Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.
    4. Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)
    5. Copies of Hymn Books

 

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE: 

  1. EPISCOPAL VISIT OF HIS GRACE: His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. E.Adebola Ademowo, OON FNAL, Bishop of Lagos and the Dean Emeritus, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) will next Sunday, 23rd October, 2016 at 9 a.m. and along with the President of the Women’s & Girls’Organisation of the diocese, Mrs. I. Oluranti Ademowo, pay an official (Episcopal) visit to our parish.  Please be ready to receive your bishop and pray for Episcopal blessings on you and your family.  At that service, candidates will be confirmed.
  2. POSTING OF A CLERGYMAN:- His Grace, the Diocesan effected the posting of Revd  & Mrs. Silas Ewere Okoh from Church of the Resurrection, 1004 Estate, Victoria Island as a Curate, and to our church also as a Curate with effect from tomorrow, Monday, 17th October, 2016 by God’s grace.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. ENDOWMENT FUND:- Church of Nigeria Women’s & Girls’ Endowment Fund will be collected throughout the month of October.  We plead with all our women to please pay generously to any of the clergy wives.  God bless you all and enlarge your coast.
  2. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:- Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  3. CLASSES FOR 2016 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2016 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension. Members should please be punctual.

  2. YOUNG WIVES’ FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: Earlier scheduled for today 16th October, 2016 has been shifed to Sunday, 23rd October. 2016 because of the Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Service.  Members should please, note.
  3. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.  .
  4. GIRLS AND LADIES GUILD VIRTUE’S DAY WORKSHOP: The annual Diocesan Lady of Virtue’s Day workshop would hold on Saturday, 22nd  October, 2016.  Time:  10.00 a.m.    The workshop is on Ankara bags & bead designs; Table decoration; Soap making, Izal etc.  The workshop is free to all children & youth (Boys & Girls).  Venue:  Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos.

  1. THE VICAR’S VACATION: The Vicar and his wife will be away in the U.S. on their annual  vacation from Thursday, 27th October to Thursday, 17th November, 2016 by God’s grace.  Please remember to pray for them.

  1. We also share in the pains of Dr & Mrs. G.C. Madubuko on the call to glory of their brother’s wife in U.S.A. –  Dr (Mrs) Grace Uchenna Madubuko (nee Oramu).  Her remains will be laid to rest in Enugu on Thursday, the 20th October, 2016.
