    GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

  1. EPISCOPAL VISIT FOR 2016 CONFIRMATION:  We specially welcome His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. E.A. Ademowo, OON FNAL, Ph.D, Bishop of Lagos  Diocese &  Dean Emeritus, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) along with the President of the Women’s & Girls’ Organisations of the diocese, Mrs. I. Oluranti Ademowo, as they pay an official (Episcopal) visit to our parish.  We pray that the Lord will continue to shower His blessings on them and their household.
  2. WELCOMING OUR NEW PRIEST:-  Please join me in welcoming The Revd & Mrs. Silas E. Okoh and their child into our midst and pray that God would bless their ministry in this church.  They assumed duty on Monday, the 17th October, 2016.
  3. THE VICAR’S VACATION:  The Vicar and his wife will be away in the U.S. on their annual  vacation from Thursday, 27th October to Thursday, 17th November, 2016 by God’s grace.  Please remember to pray for them.
    1. We welcome all our members and other worshippers at this service.  We appeal that we remember to pray for our dear nation for Divine Intervention at this difficult time.  Please take a copy of our weekly bulletin for reference.
    2. We welcome all who have been confirmed today very heartily into God’s blessed family of the redeemed. As you take up the full responsibilities of the children of God, may you be faithful and fruitful children of His and may you enjoy His favour both here and in eternity. We encourage you to build yourselves up by regularly attending services, the church’s prayer meetings on Wednesdays and the Bible studies on Fridays. Also keep yourselves busy for the Lord by taking active part in at least one ministry of the church. May you continue to shine as stars for the Lord.
    3. We also welcome all our guests who are fellowshipping for the first time.  Please fill the form given to you and wait briefly after the service to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM’ as you exit through the door on the lectern side of the church.
    4. We congratulate all Birthday celebrants of the week and pray for longevity,  robust health and prosperity for all of them.

  1. OUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: We appeal to all parishioners and other worshippers to please attend any or all of them and God will bless you all beyond your expectations:
    1. Daily Holy Communion @ 7.15 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays
    2. Hour of Divine Intervention on Wednesdays @ 6.00 p.m to 7.30 p.m.
    3. Bible Study on Fridays @ 3.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. & 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
    4. Overcomer’s Hour –  First Day of the month @ 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.
    5. Glorious Night –  Last Fridays of the month @ 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.
    6. Workers’ Retreat –  as the Vicar deems appropriate.
  1. APPRECIATION- RE: 2016 ADULT HARVEST:- We extend sincere gratitude to our Chairman at last Sunday’s Adult Harvest Thanksgiving & Love Feast – Mr. & Mrs. Oladipo Okpeseyi, SAN; the Parents of the Day, Chief & Mrs. I.C. Ogbue; the Cake Unveilers,  Mr & Mrs. Michael Osilama Otu, the Special Guests; all their supporters and most importantly, all members of the congregation that contributed to the huge success recorded.  May God  continue to shower His blessings on you all.
  2. THE PARISH CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING:The PCC members will meet on Tuesday, 25th October, 2016 at 5 p.m.  instead of the last Thursday of the month due to the Vicar’s vacation.    Venue: Church Hall.   All members are to please collect their papers.
  3. OCTOBER EDITION OF OUR EVENING OF PRAISE: You are cordially invited to our October Edition of Evening of Praise holding today at 5.00 p.m. Ven & Mrs. S. B. Akinola’s family are sponsoring this month’s Evening of Praise.   Kindly come with your family and friends to fellowship in the presence of the people of God, enjoy the evening and be richly blessed. Enough preparation had been made for entertainment after the service.  We await more sponsorship. We appreciate the Choir and Praise Band for their commitment and still appeal to them to attend punctually and in good number.
  4. GLORIOUS NIGHT (VIGIL) FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER:– Our Glorious Night (Vigil) for this month would hold on Friday, 28th  October, 2016.  Theme: “Vessel of Honour” (2 Tim. 2: 20-21)  Time:  10.30 p.m – 5.00 a.m.  Come and you will be richly blessed.
  5. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: is a minimum of N1,000.00.  We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish.
  6. FAMILY HARVEST: God expects each family to appear before Him at least once a year for thanksgiving and re-dedication.  As families, it is important to give thanks in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness to us and to also rededicate and recommit all members of our families to Him for safe-keeping, provision, defence, sustenance, preservation, good health, victory and joy.  Please note that all members of the Church are expected to celebrate their annual Family Harvests.
  7. THE NEEDS OF OUR PARISH: We thank all our members for your continual supports, generosity and personal sacrifice.  Your labour of love will not be in vain.  We appeal to our members to pray concerning the following items which are needed by the church and as led by the Holy Spirit to assist  in donating them
    1. Wafer bread (priest wafers & for the congregation)
    2. Altar Cross (should be the latest and with steps)
    3. Imported sets of chasubles for the use of the Priests, for the celebration of Holy Communion.
    4. Toyota buses (High roof & Medium room)
    5. Copies of Hymn Books

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS

  1. ENDOWMENT FUND:- Church of Nigeria Women’s & Girls’ Endowment Fund will be collected throughout the month of October.  We plead with all our women to please pay generously to any of the clergy wives.  God bless you all and enlarge your coast.  Amen.
  2. BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S BREAKFAST FELLOWSHIP: The Diocesan Business & Professional Women’s Breakfast Fellowship comes up on Saturday, 5th November, 2016 at the Church Hall.  Time:  8.00 a.m.  You are all invited and as you come, the Lord will richly bless you.
  3. MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:- Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
  4. CLASSES FOR 2016 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2016 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension. Members should please be punctual.
  5. MOTHERS’ UNION HOUSE FELLOWSHIP ZONES AND CO-ORDINATORS       

Please note that the Fellowship comes up every 3rd Saturday  of the month.  Kindly contact your nearest Coordinator for further enquiries.  Thanks.

  1. WOMEN’S MEETING/HEALTH TALK:  Date: Wednesday, 26th October,  2016 – Contemporary Issue.  Topic: ‘Modern life-style – Single life’  by Dame Nancy Oghenekaro.  Time: 00p.m.  May you be richly blessed as you attend.
  2. YOUNG WIVES’ FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: This programme will not hold today again due to the combined service.
  3. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

  2. DIOCESAN COMMISSIONING AND LICENSING OF READERS will hold in our Church on Sunday, 4th December, 2016 at 4.00 p.m. It will be presided over by the Diocesan, His Grace, The Most Revd Dr. E.A. Ademowo, by God’s grace.
  3. NOTICE FOR READERS: There will be a Readers meeting on Sunday, 30th October 2016 immediately after the Healing & Testimony Service.
  4. DIVCCON 2016:- This year’s DIVCCON starts in Abuja from Monday, 7th to Friday, 11th November, 2016.  Members are please, encouraged to start registering now.  Divccon registration fee is N3,500.00 payable to Zenith Bank Account No: 1130046359 (Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion Divccon) and obtain your PIN from the bank.   5. VISITATION TO MEMBERS:- Those who have privileged information about home bound parishioners as a result of sickness and/or old age should notify the Vicar or The Revd Canon Clement Iwuoha, for visitation to be arranged for them.
