- DAILY HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE: – Join us at the 7.15 a.m. service in the Chapel every day this week.
- THE PARISH CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING:– The PCC members will meet on Thursday, 29th October, 2015 at 5 p.m. Venue: Church Hall. All members are to please collect their papers from the Front Office today or within the week.
- GLORIOUS NIGHT (VIGIL) FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER:– Date: Friday, 30th October, 2015. Theme: “Divine Encounter” (Acts 8: 1-25)” Time: 10.30 p.m. – 5.00 a.m. Come and you will be richly blessed.
- GLEANERS’ HARVEST: Next Sunday, 1st November, 2015 is our Gleaners’ Harvest. It would be a Joint Service at 9.00 a.m. Members should please note and pray for the success of the ceremony.
- IMPORTANT DATES: Please book these important dates in your diary:
- Monday, 2nd November at 12 noon – Dedication of the Tarkwa Bay Church by His Grace. We thank the members of this church who contributed more than N50 million towards this project.
- Tuesday, 3rd November at 12 noon – Dedication of the Erasco-Epe Church, a link church of our women which has been rebuilt with more than N30 million
- Friday, 6th November at 11 a.m. – Public Presentation of ‘From Colonial to Cosmopolitan : The story of Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos (1911 – 2011). Venue: Church Hall
- CHURCH HOUSE FLATS: The six flats in the Church Block of Flats in Ikoyi are available for corporate or individual tenants. The road (Obadeyi Close) has recently been rehabilitated with proper drains and interlocking paving stones. Interested prospective tenants for one or all of the flats (individuals or companies) should please contact the Admin. Manager or call 0803-717-7670 & 0803-400-8921.
- MISSION SEED ENVELOPES: You are invited to help empower His Grace, our Diocesan Bishop to help needy parishes and the mission fields in the diocese, within and outside the country by contributing at least One thousand Naira monthly towards the Mission Seed Project. Mission Seed is collected on every first Sunday of the month, but you could also pay during the week. Please collect and use a set of envelopes to help you pay regularly and God will bless you abundantly.
- TITHE ENVELOPES: God has asked you to obey Him by bringing in the FULL tithes into His storehouse and put Him to test if He will not rain blessings on you. To help you do this, the church has provided envelopes for regular tithing. Please collect yours from the Guild of Stewards. The Lord will bless you with His abundance as you obey Him. Tithes are collected every Third Sunday of the month. Please drop the tithe as you go for communion. Please note that you can continue to pay your tithe at any other time of the week or make a direct transfer to the Church’s Bank account.
- IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY BOARD: The Board meets on Wednesday. 28th October, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Our Saviour’s Church, TBS. Please all members should attend.
- INVESTMENT COMMITTEE MEETING:- Members of the Investment Committee would meet on Wednesday, 28th October, 2015 at 12 noon at the usual venue. All members should endeavour to attend promptly.
- HARVEST COMMITTEE MEETING:– The members of Harvest Committee would meet on Wednesday, 28th October, 2015 at the Church Hall. Time: 6.00 p.m. Members should please, be punctual.
- LITERATURE & PUBLICATION COMMITTEE: The Literature and Publications Committee requests articles, jokes, cartoons and other content for the December edition of Good Tidings. Please send copies of your entries to goodtidings@osc-tbs.org. We appreciate all those who have continued to support us through advertisements. We will appreciate more advertisements and goodwill Christmas messages in the December edition of the magazine. The rates for advertisements are:

- PARISH CHARITY DAY – APPRECIATION:- The Vicar hereby expresses deep appreciation to all our clergywives and entire members of Women & Girls’ Organizations and other members of the church who donated items (food stuffs, household utensils and clothings) that were distributed to the needy yesterday, October 24, 2015. We specially thank you all for putting so much smiles on many faces and homes with your generous donations. We also appreciate all who came around to assist in the sorting out and sharing before and yesterday. The Lord values your love and sacrifice and will bless you abundantly.
- LADY OF VIRTUE’S DAY: The annual Diocesan Lady of Virtue’s Day would hold on Saturday, 31st October, 2015. Time: 10.00 a.m. Venue: Chapel. All members of the Girls & Ladies Guild including Boys. should please note and attend.
- WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/TALK: Date: Wednesday, 28th October 2015 Contemporary Issue on ‘God’s battle axe’ by Mrs. C. Osuno-Ilogu Time: 4.00p.m. May you be richly blessed as you attend.
- MOTHERS’ UNION & WOMEN’S GUILD ANNUAL DUES:– Members of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild are hereby reminded of the payment of their annual dues to any of the clergy wives today or within the week.
- CLASSES FOR MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:- The class for 2015 Mothers’ Union Enrolment holds today, immediately after the service at the Chapel Extension. Members should please be punctual.
- INVITATION TO FAMILY FUN DAY 2015:- The Ladies Helpers’ Union of the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina cordially invites members to their annual Family Fun Day that encompasses – Health awareness and Checks, Children games/entertainment, Display and sale of African cuisine, computer games etc. on Saturday 7th November, 2015 at Methodist Boy’s High School, Sinari Daranijo Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The proceeds from the activities would be use to support various charities and homes for the handicapped. - FOOD BANK: The Youth Ministry has started a Food Bank in the church. This service seeks to provide raw food stuffs and beverages for members who have nothing to eat. The distribution of food items to concerned parties is only done on first Sundays of any month. Kindly note that this is a covenant arrangement, only those in need should visit the place. Please, also feel free to join us to bring smile to faces that are stranded by providing for them through this medium. - COMPULSORY PRE-MARRIAGE COUNSELLING: Please note that the pre-marriage counselling has started. The purpose of Counselling is to prepare our children on how to establish and maintain harmony in their marriages. The programme is intensive and will take minimum of 12 weeks.
Every potential couple should take note and avail themselves of this golden opportunity. Parents should also note that this should be the first step in preparation for their children’s wedding. We expect all the “about to be married” members to take note! Clearance will not be given for wedding until the course is completed.
