GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. All glory, honour and praises to God for His faithfulness and goodness that have hitherto preserved all of us. We welcome all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service. God will surround all of us with His presence and favour, and also steadily and with Divine speed fulfill His purposes in our lives and families in Jesus name.
    2. 2018 WOMEN’S HARVEST: We welcome our Coordinator for this year’s Women’s Harvest – Mrs. Olusola Toyin Momoh, her husband – Mr John Momoh, their children, grand-children and all their invited guests/supporters. Our prayer is that God would continue to uphold and strengthen  and shower His blessings on us all.
    3. We welcome all those who are worshipping with us for the first time into our midst and pray that God will orchestrate new and unimaginable miracles in their lives and families.  We appeal that they should kindly wait briefly after the service to interact with the “WELCOME TEAM.” They are to exit the church through the door on the lectern side of the church.
    4. We congratulate and felicitate with all those who celebrate their birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and other landmark events this week. God will continue to protect and guide them. He will also sustain their joy and continue to be mindful of them and their desires and aspirations in Jesus name.

        (j)    Men’s Christian Fellowship @ 10.00 a.m. on the 3rd Saturday of every month.

        All those who are concerned should please endeavour to attend punctually.

  1. SECURITY OF MEMBERS
    • a)    Members are implored to use the car park that we paid for at the Tafawa Balewa Square directly behind our church building every Sunday. We wish to ensure adequate security during all our programmes and activities. Security operatives will be more effective if there is free movement in the compound.
    • b)    We also appeal that we should all cooperate with and obey the security personnel because they are working for our good.
    • c)     Please all worshippers are sensitized to be vigilant during services and other activities and they should not leave their personal belongings unattended because of hoodlums that may be mingling with us.
  2. MONTHLY BAPTISM: Our baptism holds every first Saturday of the month.  Please plan to key into this, as your preferred date could clash with other programmes and can lead to rejection of your date.

 

INFORMATION FROM CHURCH OF NIGERIA

  1. GAFCON 2018: The third Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON) holds in Jerusalem from 14th to 24th June, 2018.  Let us continue to pray for all our Bishops and their wives, delegates from Nigeria, Africa and other parts of the world for a successful/fruitful conference, hitch-free journey to and fro, and peaceful stay in Jerusalem.

 

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE:

  1. TRINITY ORDINATION: Please note that this year’s Trinity Ordination will take place on Sunday, 1st July, 2018 at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos.  Time:  11.30 a.m.  Please commit those to be made deacons and those to be ordained as priests into the mighty hands of God and for fruitful ministry. God bless you all as you attend the service.
  2. DIOCESAN WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS MID-YEAR THANKSGIVING: Date:  Saturday, 30th June, 2018 at Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos.  Time:  10.00 a.m.
  3. CLERGY WELFARE WEEK: The Lagos Diocesan Clergy Welfare week will start on 2nd July to 16th July, 2018. Members are encouraged to make donations until the 16th July. Kindly donate generously for the welfare of the clergy, particularly those in very difficult missionary areas, the retired bishops, clergy and clergy widows. The Lord will bless you specially as you give in cash or kind for the welfare of the clergy. The cheques should be addressed in favour of ‘CLERGY WELFARE OF LAGOS ANGLICAN DIOCESE’. INFORMATION FROM IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY:

  1. PASSWORD 2.0 – PRAISE CONCERT: Ikoyi Youths invite all to her annual Praise & Power Concert.  Date:  June 15, 2018.  Time:  9.00 p.m.  Venue:  Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos.  Please be there.
  2. 2018 PASTORATE ANNIVERSARY OF IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY:- The Ikoyi Archdeaconry Pastorate Anniversary for this year would start from Wednesday, 20th June to Sunday, 24th June, 2018. The theme is “Marks of a faithful stewards” (I Cor. 4: 1-2).  The programmes slated are as follows: 

      (a)  Day 1: Wednesday, 20th June, 2018 –  Revival at 6 p.m.

      (b)  Day 2: Friday,  22nd June, 2018 – Anniversary Lecture at 6 p.m 

      (c)  Day 3: Saturday, 23rd June, 2018 – Breakfast/Launching at 8 a.m. 

      (d) Day 4: Sunday, 24th June, 2018 –  Thanksgiving Service at  1.00 p.m.

      All at Church of the Nativity, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi.

Please plan to attend and pray for the success of all the programmes slated. This year’s Pastorate Anniversary is dedicated to raising funds for the procurement of a property for our church in Dolphin Estate.

       

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS:

  1. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/ BIBLE STUDY: Date: Wednesday, 13th June, 2018. Topic: “Vessels in God’s Redemptive Plan” (Esther 4: 1 – 17) Time: 4.00 p.m. by Mrs. Kate Usiade. Please come and you will be richly blessed.
  2. 2018 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT:– Classes for 2018 Mothers’ Union Enrolment has started and the venue is our Chapel Extension. Kindly liaise with Mrs Emamoke Dare for details.
  3. 2018 ANNUAL DUES: All women are reminded of the payment of Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild annual dues of N2,000= each. Kindly see the Vicar’s wife or any of the Curates wives for the payment.
  4. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

 

OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

  1. FATHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION:- Please note that next Sunday, 17th  June, 2018 is Father’s Day.  We shall celebrate at the 9.00 a.m. Combined Holy Communion Service. Our fathers would play prominent role, while the       mothers would equally support.  Members should please note, and pray for the success of the programme.
  2. CONFIRMATION CLASSES FOR YEAR 2018: Interested candidates aged 13 years and above who have not been confirmed, are to obtain registration form from the Admin Manager’s office today or within the week. The commencement date for classes is on Sunday, 8th July, 2018 after the 11.00 a.m. service in the main church.
  3. IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO ALL MINISTRIES/ FELLOWSHIPS OF THE CHURCH: The Chairmen/Secretaries of all the Ministries/Fellowships in this church should please note that henceforth, approval must be sought from the Vicar, for any project(s) to be embarked upon by any Ministry/Fellowship no matter the nature of the project. Kindly comply with this simple instruction for cordial relationship and mutual understanding. Thank you and God bless.
  4. OVERCOMERS’ HOUR:– Our Overcomers’ Hour has now been changed from 1st Day of every month to the 1st Saturday of the month from 8 – 9.30am (so as create time for weddings and other services) with lots of prayers, deliverance,  anointing etc.

  6. ELDERS’ FELLOWSHIP OF OUR SAVIOUR’S CHURCH, TBS, LAGOS:- There will be the monthly meeting of the Elders’ Fellowship of Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos on Wednesday, 13th June, 2018, at 10.00am  prompt in the Chapel Extension. All elders in the church of 65years and above  are cordially invited.
  7. 2018 CHILDREN AND YOUTH SUMMER WORKSHOP: To culminate this year’s Youth and Children’s Summer workshop, the Youth Committee has organized a musical and dramatic performance at the Muson Center titled “SOUNDS OF DAVID: from shepherd boy to shepherd king” holding on Friday July 27, 2018.

To adequately prepare for this event, pre-summer workshop rehearsals commences on Saturday June 9 and continues every Saturday at 8 a.m prompt. All former workshop participants in music and any other departments are to join in the preparation. New attendees are also welcomed. Members of the Youth Committee will be available after the service today at the entrance for registration and more information. Don’t miss out.

  1. ADMISSION INTO ARCHBISHOP ABIODUN ADETILOYE COMPREHENSIVE COLLEGE (AAACC), IGBOYE:  The supplementary examinations for the above-named co-educational (boys & girls) and boarding shall hold on Saturdays 7th July, 2018 at the following centres:

    2. Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos, 3. St. Michael’s Church, Epe.
