GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. All glory, honour and praises to God for His faithfulness and goodness that have hitherto preserved all of us. We welcome all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service. God will surround all of us with His presence and favour, and also steadily and with Divine speed fulfill His purposes in our lives and families in Jesus name.
    2. We congratulate all our fathers and fathers-in-waiting on this Fathers’ Day! We pray that God will make them successful fathers and responsive heads of their various homes. We appreciate our Sunday School children, the Youth, our wives/mothers, and members of Men’s Christian Fellowship, for blessing us with through songs, drama and gifts today.
    3. Ven. &  Mrs. Obinna Ulogwara:  We formally welcome our brother and his family to Our Saviour’s Church, TBS and pray that their ministry among us will be fruitful and God will work out His purpose in their lives, ministry and family in Jesus name – Amen.
    4. We welcome all those who are worshipping with us for the first time into our midst and pray that God will orchestrate new and unimaginable miracles in their lives and families.  We appeal that they should kindly wait briefly after the service to interact with the “WELCOME TEAM.” They are to exit the church through the door on the lectern side of the church.
    5. We congratulate and felicitate with all those who celebrate their birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and other landmark events this week. God will continue to protect and guide them. He will also sustain their joy and continue to be mindful of them and their desires and aspirations in Jesus name.

        (g)  Overcomers’ Hour @ 6.30 a.m. (1st Day of every month)

        (h)  Divine Encounter  (monthly vigil) to start @  10.00 p.m.  (Last Friday)

        (i)    Bible School @ 9.00 a.m. – 11 a.m every Saturday from February 17, 2018.

        (j)    Men’s Christian Fellowship @ 10.00 a.m. on the 3rd Saturday of every month.

        All those who are concerned should please endeavour to attend punctually.

  1. SECURITY OF MEMBERS
    1. Members are implored to use the car park that we paid for at the Tafawa Balewa Square directly behind our church building every Sunday. We wish to ensure adequate security during all our programmes and activities. Security operatives will be more effective if there is free movement in the compound.
    2. We also appeal that we should all cooperate with and obey the security personnel because they are working for our good.
    3. Please all worshippers are sensitized to be vigilant during services and other activities and they should not leave their personal belongings unattended because of hoodlums that may be mingling with us.
  2. MONTHLY BAPTISM: Our baptism holds every first Saturday of the month. Please plan to key into this, as your preferred date could clash with other programmes and can lead to rejection of your date.

 

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE:

  1. TRINITY ORDINATION: Please note that this year’s Trinity Ordination will take place on Sunday, 1st July, 2018 at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos.  Time:  11.30 a.m.  Please commit those to be made deacons and those to be ordained as priests into the mighty hands of God and for fruitful ministry. God bless you all as you attend the service.
  2. DIOCESAN WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS MID-YEAR THANKSGIVING: Date:  Saturday, 30th June, 2018 at Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, Lagos.  Time:  10.00 a.m.
  3. CLERGY WELFARE WEEK: The Lagos Diocesan Clergy Welfare week will start on 2nd July to 16th July, 2018. Members are encouraged to make donations until the 16th July. Kindly donate generously for the welfare of the clergy, particularly those in very difficult missionary areas, the retired bishops, clergy and clergy widows. The Lord will bless you specially as you give in cash or kind for the welfare of the clergy. The cheques should be addressed in favour of  ‘CLERGY WELFARE OF LAGOS ANGLICAN DIOCESE’. INFORMATION FROM IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY

  1. 2018 PASTORATE ANNIVERSARY OF IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY:- The Ikoyi Archdeaconry Pastorate Anniversary for this year would start from Wednesday, 20th June to Sunday, 24th June, 2018.  The theme is “Marks of a faithful stewards” (I Cor. 4: 1-2).  The programmes slated are as follows: 

      (a)  Day 1: Wednesday, 20th June, 2018 –  Revival at 6 p.m.

      (b)  Day 2: Friday,  22nd June, 2018 – Anniversary Lecture at 6 p.m 

      (c)  Day 3: Saturday, 23rd June, 2018 – Breakfast/Launching at 8 a.m. 

      (d) Day 4: Sunday, 24th June, 2018 –  Thanksgiving Service at  1.00 p.m.

      All at Church of the Nativity, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi.

Please plan to attend and pray for the success of all the programmes slated. This year’s Pastorate Anniversary is dedicated to raising funds for the procurement of a property for our church in Dolphin Estate.

     

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS:

  1. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/ HEALTH TALK: Date: Wednesday, 20th June, 2018. Topic: “Hemophilia” Time:  4.00 p.m. by Dr. (Mrs) S. Olubowale. Please come and you will be richly blessed.
  2. 2018 MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT: Classes for 2018 Mothers’ Union Enrolment has started and the venue is our Chapel Extension. Kindly liaise with Mrs Emamoke Dare for details.
  3. 2018 ANNUAL DUES: All women are reminded of the payment of Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild annual dues of N2,000= each. Kindly see the Vicar’s wife or any of the Curates wives for the payment.
  4. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

 

OTHER INFORMATION FROM OUR PARISH

  1. APPRECIATION: 2018 WOMEN’S HARVEST: The Vicar, the PCC and Harvest Committee appreciate and thank those who contributed in    various ways in making our 2018 Women’s Harvest of last Sunday a   huge sucess. We especially thank the Co-ordinators, Mr. John & Mrs. Sola Momoh, their families, the Channels Television, their supporters, and members of the congregation for the love and fellowship shown especially to all our women of aged 80 years and above. May God bless you all!
  2. CONFIRMATION CLASSES FOR YEAR 2018: Interested candidates aged 13 years and above who have not been confirmed, are to obtain registration form from the Admin Manager’s office today or within the week. The commencement date for classes is on Sunday, 8th July, 2018 after the 11.00 a.m. service in the main church.
  3. IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO ALL MINISTRIES/ FELLOWSHIPS OF THE CHURCH: The Chairmen/Secretaries of all the Ministries/Fellowships in this church should please note that henceforth, approval must be sought from the Vicar, for any project(s) to be embarked upon by any Ministry/Fellowship no matter the nature of the project. Kindly comply with this simple instruction for cordial relationship and mutual understanding. Thank you and God bless.
  4. OVERCOMERS’ HOUR:  Our Overcomers’ Hour has now been changed  from  1st Day of every month to the 1st Saturday of the month from 8 – 9.30am (so as create time for weddings and other services) with lots of prayers, deliverance,  anointing etc.

  6. 2018 CHILDREN AND YOUTH SUMMER WORKSHOP: To culminate this year’s Youth and Children’s Summer workshop, the Youth Committee has organized a musical and dramatic performance at the Muson Center titled “SOUNDS OF DAVID: from shepherd boy to shepherd king” holding on Friday July 27, 2018.

To adequately prepare for this event, pre-summer workshop rehearsals takes place every Saturday at 8 a.m prompt. All former workshop participants in music and     any other departments are to join in the preparation. New attendees are also   welcomed. Members of the Youth Committee will be available after the service today at the entrance for registration and more information. Don’t miss out.

  1. ADMISSION INTO ARCHBISHOP ABIODUN ADETILOYE             COMPREHENSIVE COLLEGE (AAACC), IGBOYE:   The supplementary examinations for the above-named co-educational (boys & girls) and boarding shall       hold on Saturdays 7th July, 2018 at the following centres:
    • Archbishop Abiodun Adetiloye Comprehensive College, Igboye;
    • Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos, 3. St. Michael’s Church, Epe.

  1. 2018 ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT: The Business Fellowship cordially invites aspiring entrepreneurs to its’ 2nd  Entrepreneurship Development 2018 already started and still continues. No registration is required. Facilitator:  Mr. Dipo Fadamiro  Come and let’s chase poverty way from brethren. Fellowship with us every first Monday (apart from public holidays).
  2. *SAVE A LIFE* HELP A MEMBER OF OUR CHURCH WITH CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE who needs 3 regular renal dyalisis at an estimated cost of N400,000.00 per month. Send your donation (cash/ cheques) in favour  of Our Saviour’s Church and indicate on the envelope or back of the cheque “For a member with Kidney Disease”.
  3. VACANCY:- A family residing at 4, Isawo Road, Ikorodu requires a driver          (male and single) for immediate employment. Accommodation will be provided including breakfast and dinner.
