GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

1. 1. All glory, honour and praises to God for His faithfulness and goodness that have hitherto preserved all of us. We welcome all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service. God will surround all of us with His presence and favour, and also steadily and with Divine speed fulfill His purposes in our lives and families in Jesus name.
   2. We welcome all our eminent guests (first timers) very specially and pray that God will orchestrate unusual testimonies in their lives and families in Jesus name. We appeal to them to fill the form given to them and to also wait briefly to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM” after this service. They are also enjoined to each take a copy of our bulletin for reference.
   3. Congratulatory felicitations to all the birthday celebrants of the week. We also congratulate all those who are having their wedding anniversaries this week. We wish them all longevity, robust health, sustained joy, divine peace and accomplishment in Jesus name.
2. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: Please note that our annual membership due is now minimum of N2,000= for each member. We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish, and pay our dues promptly.
3. ECCLESIASTES 5: 4-6:  when you make a vow to God, do not delay fulfilling it; for he has no pleasure in fools.  Fulfil what you vow.  It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not fulfil it.  Do not let your mouth lead you into sin, and do not say before the messenger that it was a mistake; why should God be angry at your words, and destroy the work of your hands?

5. INVITATION TO OUR MONTHLY EVENING OF PRAISE:- You are cordially invited to our Evening of Praise holding today Sunday, 1st October, 2017 at 5.00 p.m. The Revd Canon Taiwo & Mrs. Adesola Awosika’s family are sponsoring the event to mark the wife’s 65th birthday and their 40th wedding anniversary.   Kindly come with your family and friends to fellowship with them.
6. OUR ADULTS’ HARVEST THANKSGIVING SERVICE & LOVE FEAST:- Our 2017 Adults’ Harvest will hold next Sunday, 8th October, 2017 at 9.00 a.m. with Love Feast at the Cricket Pitch of TBS, Lagos.  God of harvest will bless all of us as we pray for the success of the event.
7. DRESSING OF BRIDES AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BRIDAL TRAIN DURING WEDDING SERVICES: We use this medium to appeal to all parents and guardians whose children (daughters or daughters-in-law) will be getting married to teach them the dignity of decent dressing, especially during wedding services. By decent dressing, we mean that the wedding gowns and other wedding dresses should cover  the entire body. Any indecent dressings during such occasions will be frowned at and the clergy will not take kindly to it. This is a very important notice that must be taken seriously by all our  parishioners  and other worshippers because we will not compromise the Word of God for any reason.
8. MONTHLY BAPTISM:  Our baptism holds every first Saturday of the month.  Please plan to key into this, as your preferred date could clash with other programmes and can lead to rejection of your date.
9. We congratulate all the families that are slated for their family harvest thanksgivings. We pray that the God of harvest will daily increase them. These are:

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE

1. DIOCESAN ELDERS FELLOWSHIP RETREAT:-  Date:  Tuesday, 10th – Thursday, 12th October, 2017.  All elders willing to attend should please submit their names on or before 4th October, 2017 to Mrs. Joy Chima.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS:

1. ENDOWMENT FUND:- Church of Nigeria Women’s & Girls’ Endowment Fund will be collected throughout the month of October.  We plead with all our women to please pay generously to any of the clergy wives.  God bless you all and enlarge your coast.  Amen.
2. MOTHERS’ UNION MEETING: Date: Tuesday, 3rd October, 2017 Topic: My family on the Lord’s Side (Joshua 24:15) to be taken by Dr (Mrs) Furo Weli.

2. BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR VALUABLES: Members and visitors are henceforth advised to be conscious  and take care of their  valuables such as bags, telephone handsets, money etc. in the church and outside the church premises because of the bad elements that mingle amongst us.
3. THE PARISH CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING:  The PCC members will meet on Thursday, 5th October, 2017 at 5.00 p.m.   Venue: Church Hall.   All members are to please collect their papers from the Front Office today or within the week.
4. 5. HOSPITAL VISITING MINISTRY/CHURCH CLINIC ANNIVERSARY HEALTH SCREENING EXERCISE: Date:  Wednesday, 25th October, 2017.  Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.  –  Blood pressure, Blood sugar, BMI checks for everyone.  Also Brest Awareness & Cervical Cancer Screening  services available for the first 50 women to register.  All women aged 25 years and above who have not had a cervical screening test in the last 12 months are strongly encouraged to present themselves for the screening.  Register –  Please leave your name and phone number with the Admin. 6. BUSINESS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: The 18th Anniversary of the business Fellowship of Our Saviour’s Church, TBS comes up on Saturday, 28th October, 2017 at the church hall at 9.00am to 6.00pm. Lined up actvities are 1. Music Minsitration    2. Word of Exhortation 3. Prophetic Declaration    4. Business Talk     5. Exhibition/Market Fair 6. Launching of Business Brochure/Directory  7. 7. SPICE UP YOUR LOVE:  The Counselling Ministry of Our Saviour ‘s Church, TBS, Lagos  invites you to a Therapeutic Interactive  Symposium for Young Couples of 10years and below. 9. FOOD BANK: The Food Bank is the Project of the Youth Ministry of this Church. This enables us to cater for the needy in the Church. The  Bank opens every first Sunday at the Church Hall immediately after  the Youth Service. We thank all our donors and ask more people to be part of this project. Please feel free to donate cash or food items; Rice, beans, Garri, vegetable oil, beverages etc to this bank.
