GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

    1. All glory, honour and praises to God for His faithfulness and goodness that have hitherto preserved all of us. We welcome all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service. God will surround all of us with His presence and favour, and also steadily and with Divine speed fulfill His purposes in our lives and families in Jesus name.
    2. We welcome all our eminent guests (first timers) very specially and pray that God will orchestrate unusual testimonies in their lives and families in Jesus name. We appeal to them to fill the form given to them and to also wait briefly to see the ‘WELCOME TEAM” after this service. They are also enjoined to each take a copy of our bulletin for reference.
    3. Congratulatory felicitations to all the birthday celebrants of the week. We also congratulate all those who are having their wedding anniversaries this week. We wish them all longevity, robust health, sustained joy, divine peace and accomplishment in Jesus name.
  2. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUE: Please note that our annual membership due is now minimum of N2,000= for each member. We appeal that we all register to become full members of our parish, and pay our dues promptly.
  3. ECCLESIASTES 5: 4-6: when you make a vow    to God, do not delay fulfilling it; for he has no pleasure in fools.  Fulfil what you vow.  It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not fulfil it.  Do not let your mouth lead you into sin, and do not say before the messenger that it   was a mistake; why should God be angry at your words, and destroy the work of your hands?

  1. INVITATION TO OUR MONTHLY EVENING OF PRAISE:- You are cordially invited to our next Evening of Praise holding next Sunday, 1st October, 2017 at 5.00 p.m. The Revd Canon Taiwo & Mrs. Adesola Awosika’s family are sponsoring this month’s Evening of Praise to appreciate the love of God on several ways to them.   Kindly come with your family and friends to fellowship in the presence of the people of God, enjoy the evening and be richly blessed.
  2. DRESSING OF BRIDES AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BRIDAL TRAIN DURING WEDDING SERVICES: We use this medium to appeal to all parents and guardians whose children (daughters or daughters-in-law) will be getting married to teach them the dignity of decent dressing, especially during wedding services. By decent dressing, we mean that the wedding gowns and other wedding dresses should cover  the entire body. Any indecent dressings during such occasions will be frowned at and the clergy will not take kindly to it. This is a very important notice that must be taken seriously by all our  parishioners  and other worshippers because we will not compromise the Word of God for any reason.
  3. MONTHLY BAPTISM:  Our baptism holds every first Saturday of the month at 10 a.m.  Please plan to key into this, as your preferred date could clash with other programmes and can lead to rejection of your date.
  4. We congratulate all the families that are slated for their family harvest thanksgivings. We pray that the God of harvest will daily increase them. These are:

INFORMATION FROM THE DIOCESE

  1. LAGOS DIOCESAN ANNUAL CLERGY SCHOOL/DAILY HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE:-  The Lagos Diocesan annual Clergy School runs from Monday, September 25 to Friday, September 29, 2017.  As a result of this,  Monday to Friday, Daily Holy Communion will not hold, but arrangement will be made for Wednesday, Mid-Week Communion.

 

WOMEN’S & GIRLS’ ORGANIZATIONS:

  1. WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING/ CONTEMPORARY ISSUE: Date: Wednesday, 26th September, 2017.  Topic: “Environmental Sanitation”  Time: 4.00p.m, by Mrs. Sola Awosika. May you be richly blessed as    you attend.
  2. THE IKOYI ARCHDEACONRY WOMEN PRAISE DAY: A day of    praise for all women in the Archdeaconry comes up on Saturday, 30th September, 2017 at St. John’s Church, Falomo. All women are to be in          their White & Blue or Green and White attire.
  3. MOTHERS’ UNION ENROLMENT: Enrollment for 2017 has started, please liase with Mrs. Emamoke Dare or the Vicar’s Wife: 08023244508 for details.
  4. WIDOWS’ WELFARE FUND: Kindly donate towards the Fund established to assist the widows of this church and God would visit you and all yours.

  2. BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR VALUABLES: Members and visitors are henceforth advised to be conscious  and take care of their  valuables such as bags, telephone handsets, money etc. in the church and outside the church premises because of the bad elements that mingle amongst us.
  3. THE PARISH CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING: The monthly PCC meeting has been shifted to Thursday, 5th October, 2017 due to the Diocesan Clergy School.  Members should please, note.
  4. DIVINE ENCOUNTER (Vigil): The monthly Divine Encounter (Vigil) would not hold this month as a result of the clergy programme. Please bear with us.
  5. BUSINESS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME: The 18th Anniversary of the business Fellowship of Our Saviour’s Church, TBS comes up on Saturday, 28th October, 2017 at the church hall at 9.00am to 6.00pm. Lined up actvities are    1. Music Minsitration    2. Word of Exhortation 3. Prophetic Declaration    4. Business Talk     5. Exhibition/Market Fair 6. Launching of Business Brochure/Directory  7.   1. FOOD BANK: The Food Bank is the Project of the Youth Ministry of  this          Church. This enables us to cater for the needy in the Church. The  Bank       opens every first Sunday at the Church Hall immediately after  the Youth Service. We thank all our donors and ask more people to be part of this project.
